There is no motive for this couple to come forward with a lie. When confronted with the evidence her answer was a non denial. This is the third non tip hoax of this type in recent months. The couple has hard evidence (Visa bill) to verify their story. -

These intimidation tactics (calling the church, demanding a copy of the presentation) by elected officials are simply unacceptable. You have to ask yourself why they would go to such ridiculous lengths to stop an informational meeting of concerned citizens ? ? ? No matter what side of the issue you are on, you have to admit that the level of secrecy and now public harassment is troubling. I applaud the citizens who organized this meeting and hope they will continue to focus sunshine onto the management of county property and taxpayer funds. :clapping:

You have no idea about the purchasing power of the very wealthy and how that directly benefits the average middle class family. My husband works for a self made multi millionaire and most of his clients are millionaires with even a couple of billionaires. These people spend tremendous amounts of money. They have dozens of folks on personal staff and employ hundreds of tradesmen. When a wealthy person buys over $1 million dollars in HVAC equipment... at least 50 to 100 middle class families directly feel that benefit. There are real world consequences to what you are proposing. Confis

Welcome to campaign 2014. Congressional Democrats with help from the unions are hoping to use class warfare aka the "living wage" to distract low information voters from their own miserable failures. Pay attention to bylines and know who is producing this propaganda designed to appear as "news."

Those polls were published yesterday. Your link is from January of 2012... almost two years ago. And it is about Romneycare, not Obamacare. You made the dubious claim that "over half of Americans want either Obamacare or single-payer." And now, faced with facts, you are desperately trying to change the subject.

The work of Dube and his co-authors received a devastating reply from a team of economists at the University of California-Irvine and the Federal Reserve Board. Having analyzed and rechecked all the analysis in the original Berkeley studies, these economists determined that “neither the conclusions … nor the methods they use are supported by the data.” http://www.politico.com/story/2013/03/statistical-problem-of-minimum-wage-and-poverty-88824.html
