FAILURE TO MAINTAIN LANE!!!!!! No one was maintaing any lanes except the clearest and safest lanes for travel. If that took me over some dashed or solid lines I wasn't really caring. This whole situation is tragic!!!!!! Obviously from Mr. Dis' post the county didn't choose contractors very wisely.

Yes that is what I am wondering too. Maybe the family can bring a wrongful death suit. I had to drive through Cobb to get to work and you could tell immediately after crossing the county line the difference in ice clearing. BTW PROPS to PC DOT they did a wonderful job during this storm.

You're right no one forced them to go out. But do we know WHY these girls were out driving? Maybe it was necessary. I just don't think the charges fit the circumstances. My God the cop who abandoned his drowning friend only got 4 years. This young girl is looking at more time than that. It's an unbalanced system.

Any of you who ventured into Cobb County during the ice storm will probably agree that they made minimal efforts to clear the ice on their roads. There was a wreck on Stilesboro Rd due to ice and a young lady lost her life. Her teenage best friend was driving. The parents of the deceased do not wish for any charges to be brought against the driver. However, Cobb County has filed vehicular homicide charges. I do not think this is fair. You are so right. I ask all this because a friend called me yesterday about another friend who they have not talked to in years after a BIG falling out. This other friend has refused to take her calls or reply to any type of communication. My friend was asking my opinion on whether she should send her something about how well her life was going etc..... I told her if she has to ask then she already knows the answer. Rubbing her nose in how wonderful her life is is not going to make either of them feel better. Take the high road. Keep a smile on your face.

What I meant was the strength of the emotion. Love is a very strong emotion & so is hate. I have been through nightmares. TRUE TRUE nightmares. But for me that person does not deserve to take up space in my mind or my heart. It hurts you more than it hurts them. I am not one to be able to forget but I am one to be able to move past things. In my opinion it's so much better to show that person that no matter what they have done you have been able to pick up the pieces and move on.

I have heard so many horror stories about people holding grudges for YEARS. To me that means you still have some type of feelings. Hate is pretty close to love in my book.

OH MY THE LAUGHING WAS DRIVING ME INSANE.......at times she did make a little sense but not much. If she would stand up and say....YES I've had work done.....that would make me have a tiny iota of respect for her. But she can't even tell the truth about something that is so obvious. I feel so bad for her older children. They just don't even have a chance in my opinion.

She was on Oprah the other day. Besides the fact that she's nuts for having 14 children- she can't even tell herself the truth. She lied & manipulated every question she was asked. Susie Ormann was on there as her financial advisor and she is totally fed up with her. She has some MAJOR mental issues. And she still swears she has never had any plastic surgery except boobs. She is about the stupidest woman I have ever heard speak.......well maybe I can think of one other but I won't mention any names.

WOW!!!! I love the Crossroads Kroger....everyone is so nice and helpful. I have never had a bad shopping trip there. I did go to the one at 61/278 and was NOT impressed with them. But Crossroads is top notch in my book. I use their pharmacy too and it's always given great service and my RX at CVS was $19 vs $4 at Kroger!!!!! Can't beat that.

OK first of all 50 years ago...we weren't using slaves as a labor force. We were right in the middle of the civil rights battle. SO why 50 years ago would this state see the need to hang such a picture depicting blacks as slaves?

I am 31 years old and this was my first White Christmas!!!! It was amazing. Now the hubby would argue with this.....back in 2003 he made me a white Christmas......he brought home HUGE sheets of white paper which he used to cover our entire backyard. Sis turned around & tried Gunnel thru the back side of Twelve Oaks but ended up having to park and try to walk it. Someone stopped & asked her if she would like a ride. I hope she makes it home. She's SO CLOSE!!!!!!
