No it is all controlled by the maintenance dept. at the central office. Right now his classroom is a toasty 71 degrees. SHe did say that in the mornings it takes awhile to get up to temp. Elementary schools that have ASP are provided heating and cooling until 6:00pm. High Schools & Middle Schools are shut off at dismissal. Susan in maintenance is awesome & a very sweet lady.

OH THANK YOU!!!!! My 2nd grader usually goes home with our neighbor on early release days so he doesn't have to stay in ASP for that long. I would have totally forgotten to send him his bus note!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!! Good for the Mom's to lookout for each other.

Ok just got off the phone with maintenance and she said that all schools heat is set at 69. If it goes below 69 the heat kicks in and over 73 the A/C kicks in. She also said if you know the room number your child is in she can tell you exactly what the temp is in there. I didn't know his room number but I will be getting that & calling her back. She said she knows it gets chilly. They have people in their office that wear coats all day long. I still want to know who told my child that the school couldn't afford the heat bill.

Russom & I have no idea. Haven't gotten a chance to call yet.

Just called the school & they said the board sets the temp in the schools. She told me to call the board. She kinda sounded like she couldn't comment but urged me to call the board. Guess that will be my next call. i want to know what they are setting it at. I understand the need to cut the bill. BUT what is a bigger distraction.....a kid wearing his heavy coat in class or the class being so cold it makes him want to wear his heavy coat. He said his whole class is bundled up. If the board is setting the temp I am interested to know what temp their building is set at in comparison

My 2nd grader came home yesterday and told me that he needed to bring a light jacket to wear in class. I asked him if it was always cold in his class and he said that the school couldn't afford the heat bill so they aren't turning it on. Now I know that he didn't come up with this on his own. And they probably do have the heat on but set very low. He had been wearing his heavy coat but it was too bulky to wear at his desk. He said he even wanted to wear his gloves cause it's hard to hold his pencil with it being that cold. I know we need to cut the budget but is cutting HEAT the way to

I cannot stand him!!!! His music is no different than any other rapper on any given day. And I love rap. He is not the revolutionary he thinks he is. He's a POS!!!! He could be using his celebrity to speak out about the dangers of plastic surgery. Instead he continues to glorify the image of women that his mother died trying to achieve. It's ridiculous!!!! What is funny to me is everytime he doesn't win he stomps around pitching a fit like a little toddler swearing he'll NEVER be on MTV again....REALLY Kanye REALLY!?!?!?!

Boy will I catch some flack for this......I felt sorry for her this morning on the Bert Show. Whoever "Tracy" is hacking into her email and telling the world before she can do anything about it. That is wrong. I have some respect for her. It's an image that she's selling....and she's SELLING IT!!!! She takes all the criticism in stride......

My 1st his 2nd. Got engaged after 3 weeks of dating and eloped after 9 month engagement. Been married for almost 10 years. Very scary to be a 2nd wife at first but now I couldn't be more confident in our marriage. Divorce is not in our vocabulary.

Prayers going out for all involved. It's so sad that the search dogs haven't been called in sooner. I know it's a free country and all but look at what they did for the run away bride. are we getting gun shy to search for adults because of one wild eyed woman? -
We took up the oppurtunity to sponsor a family at my son's school for the holidays. It's all anonymous. We are having the best time as a family getting their Thanksgiving stuff together. I got the kids involved with helping pick out the snacks for the kids etc..... We have been on the receiving end of these a few years back and wanted to show the kids that once you are in a position to give it's your responsibility to pay it forward.

I usually do the Black Friday thing every year just for the people watchng. I'm usually home and back in my bed by 10am. However, this year I am looking for a big ticket item and know that most stores only have 2-3 of them. I am looking for a flat screen TV at least 32". I see that Walmart has one on Black Friday for $198. Is this one of the things you think they will have a limited supply of? Never shopped on Cyber Monday...are the deals usually as good as Black Friday? Anyone heard of a better deal on a flat screen?

i thought it was just 2 DAYS after Nick & Vanessa announced their engagement. Yes it smells mighty desperate!!!!

How long do you hold a grudge? At what point does it become pathetic to keep holding said grudge? I'm a firm believer in Karma so I don't hold grudges. You put those negative vibes out into the world and eventually the Karma train will end up stopping in or staying at your station for awhile.

I was a passenger in a crash which was the other driver's fault. A passenger in his car was paralyzed and his insurance was exhausted paying her bills. My Uninsured/underinsured motorist covered my medical and lost wages. It is definitely worth the money to have it on your policy.

To me the biggest offense was showing them scripture which he manipulated to make them believe they had a spiritual duty to be with him sexually. He also performed ceremonies which "bonded" them for life and exchanged jewelry with them. If these relationships were totally innocent why would he perform these ceremonies without the knowledge of his congregation? This man makes me absoultely sick. He preyed on the boys who had absent fathers and told them he would fill that void and asked them to call him "Daddy". This was a total abuse of power.

ok so I have been reading all the filings in this case. Don't know why it has just now peeked my interest. ANY HOO...... What do you think? Let me clarify the difference between NOT GUILTY & INNOCENT..... he can either be not guilty of what he is charged with in the filings.......but still have questionable behavior OR he can be totally innocent of ANY wrong doing.

Been one time and was so "ashamed" for not knowing all the lingo for how I wanted my coffee that I never went back. Folgers & Mr. Coffee seem to do the job for the coffeeaholic!!!!!
