  1. I totally agree, judge no thing before it's time, these are hilarious, but should make us think too. What have we judged to quickly?
  2. Sweet........that looks super tasty.........(I should probably go eat lunch)
  3. I am the king of search (tell all your friends). Here is what you need to know: "You've got a couple of options. As for saving the picture from your Shutterfly account, there are 2 ways to do it - one is free, the other isn't. 1) Create a Shutterfly Share Site on your account in the Share section. Post that picture into an album on your Share site, then you should be able to "save originals" or "download images" and then save the original as uploaded back to your computer. 2) Order an "Archive DVD" from Shutterfly and they'll burn the pictures to a DVD in their original states so
  4. Ok, cool, so, it looks like Shutterfly is a good place to store you pictures, and maybe you want to use, Mozy, or DriveHQ for all of your other online backup needs. Does that sound about right?
  5. Ok, I've got it now. As long as the file size of your picture is over 20 Mb, you can store it on shutterfly and pull it off with the exact same quality. They don't alter your files. The size of the file is the only thing that they monitor, and if it's too big, you can't upload it in the first place. Are pictures the only thing that you want to store?
  6. We're having roast (mmmmmm....... I can smell it cooking now - literally, in the crock pot)...... and some other stuff that goes with roast, don't know, don't care what it is....... mmmmmmmmm roast.
  7. It's not a stupid question, because the answer is actually yes, sort of. But shutterfly is only intended to store photos and other similar media. the HQ in Drive HQ stands for Head Quarters (Website = www.drivehq.com ). It's just their way of saying, "we want to be your source for all of your storage needs." You just want a place to store the non-photo portion of what's on your Hard Drive (HD or HDD for Hard Disk Drive), and DriveHQ is one of those options, just as Carbonite and Mozy are others. And since you mentioned it, I did some research, and Mozy is a good option for up to 2GB of free
  8. I haven't used that particular backup site, but online backup is a good idea. Leo Laporte, "The Tech Guy" (Google him) endorses Carbonite, but there are also some free limited options like DriveHQ. Anything off-site is a good idea if you have any part of your livelihood in the same location that the computer is most of the time. Case in point: the floods that we had recently. If the computer and the backups all ended up underwater, what good are the backups? What you should and should not backup really depends on your level of paranoia. It would be easier for someone to break into your home an
  9. It's coming in my basement again ....... fema was just here on Friday. uggggh, oh well, Thank God, me and the family are safe, and we have a basement.
  10. Matt Ryan, is my fantasy QB this week, he beat Peyton Manning (who I respect very much), who was on the apposing team today......schweeet!
  11. Excel would work, but a database in Access would probably be more in line with what you're looking for.
  12. For about $250 an hour, you can be serious, lol.......
  13. I should be around most of the day today.
  14. Thank you very much Madea, I feel very welcome so far.
  15. If you have a newer version of windows and it is a newer camera, it should be plug and play, if not, then you may have a problem. If it is plug and play then you will have a bubble appear in the bottom right of you screen (or wherever you taskbar is) saying that the computer has found new hardware. If this happens go through the motions of allowing it to find and install the correct software from the internet. If not, then you will need to find what type of camera it is, because you will either have to find the drivers manually, or it may not be compatible with windows any longer. There are ac
  16. What version of windows do you have? My best guess is that a wipe and reload would be best, and the way to go about that is different depending on which version of windows you have. I agree with geeks idea about the system restore, except that if the virus is in the root or system files, then the problem may show up again later.
  17. Headed to a Bible study. I will be back later.
  18. It is pronounced: byoo-KAN-uhn listen to it here: http://inogolo.com/pronunciation/Buchanan
  19. One that get's me, and I know this may start a firestorm, is the pronunciation of Buchanan, as "Buck-hanan". I know that this has been going on for years (apparently since as far back as the 1800s, I've done the research), but it's still a man's name. The town is named after president James Buchanan, and even though his nickname was, "Old Buck" that is not the way his surname was pronounced (did anyone learn about the 15th president of the United States James Buck-hanan in school?). I know that the people's pronunciation will probably never change, but I think that it will bug me for a long ti
  20. I just thought that I would put it out there and ask if anyone needs any help with their computer (hardware or software, PCs only, I'm not a Mac guy). I don't claim to be a professional and use any of my advice at your own risk, but I've been working with these things since I was in fourth grade, and I've torn down, built up, and repaired quite a few in my day. A few days ago I was in Brandsmart shopping around, and I saw a couple trying to figure out which laptop they needed, and of course the salesman was up-selling them as much as possible, so after he walked away I went over and helped the
