From my studies at school, and having a son in pre-k, it does both. I guess I just dont understand how one thinks that pre-k teachers are just babysitters. Thats all. And yes a college education is most important to the ones who apply themselves and want to be there. I just love that we have pre-k in Georgia for our young children, it really teaches them a whole lot of skills and a host of other things.

Yep, it can be taken away at any time, i know this, I have started school to become a pre-k teacher, so now do I need to change what I want to do as a career? I would love to start a college fund for my child, but when living literlly paycheck to paycheck its very hard. I just think it stinks becasue pre-k is an excellent thing for young children. Once again pre-k is not free daycare. Yep we had them and yep we should do those things with them also, but having teachers do those things also never hurts a child, if anything it helps with all kind of skills a child needs to learn.

It is lottery funded, but appareatly they are not bringing in as much through the lotto. From what I understand they are to cut BONUSES of the lottery employees to help have more money, so cut bonuses only for them, but lets cut the funding on education??? This is what I read last night so of course i know I could be mistaken, so please no-one jump on me if i am wrong about the bonuses.

I didnt go to pre-k when I was young, and if there was such a thing, i think was more like just a daycre (babysitting) my point is the children learn in pre-k now. It is hard for people to afford to pay for daycare and pre-k. It is at least $120 a week, depending on age. That is why most people look to people who do home daycare. Why do you think this is something that Hope (lottery funds) should not pay for? I am very upset about this cutting pre-k hours. The teachers are NOT babysitters. What my son has learned this year in pre-k is amazing to me so thank all of you who are pre-k teachers. A year ago a truck slammed into my Saturn totalling my car and I was hurt. Luckily, i had just dropped son off at daycare. I was cussing the teenager, who was texting I do beleive, he best be glad my son wasnt in the car, who was 4 at that time, the emt told me to calm down that my son would have been safer than I was due to his seat. SO I will keep him in this seat as long as I need to. His safety is the most improtant thing to me. My son is a tiny 5 year old, so I dont care if he is in until he is 12. What i care about is him, not what anyone thinks or says.!!!

I knew that some of the books are only for Chat tech, luckily this person can borrow one and buy code online. Thank you for the info about this class changing when converting to semesters. Im glad i didnt go aout a buy Office 07, since its changing.

Oh my. That why I took son to doc, he had pneumonia about 6 months ago, I was worried he had it again, so far not, so Doc gave him meds. BUT>>>we were up till about 5:30 this morning with him coughing. I kept him home from school, seems ok now. I hope you get better soon. Take care of yourself!!

Amazon is a great place to purchase books much cheaper and there are several other on the internet. I always compare prices at ones I find to get the cheapest. Just google college text books, the you will type in the isbn number, you can get that off the Chat tech site. Andif you can borrow that SCT book and buy the code online that will save a bundle. Then when your finished with the class most of those sites buy your books back, so you will get more money than selling them back to bookstore at Chat Tech, once again I compare to see who will give the most. Nope your not the only one, sinus infection son and me. Sneezing, coughing, runny nose, actual nasal drip...yuk!! Took son to doc today because of his persisent cough. I hate it!!!! Tonight will be a fun night, not being able to breath, good times. Hope you feel better soon!!!

The Ga. state lottery funded ones are just like regular school. My son goes from 7:50am -2:20 pm at Sunshine house. They usually have the same days off as the schools and get out early the same days as schools. It is 5 days a week, 4 year old pre-k is preparing them for kindergarten. In paulding most 4 year old pre-k is through a daycare, if you can get in Chat tech I would defintley go for that, but there is usually a waiting list. You need to find out if the place you want them to go is full. If so then you will have to put them somewhere else. If they miss too many days they will lose thier

I know, i try to stay calm on the outside, but the inside of me is freaking. My hubs tells me the same thing about my son. I am doing my breathing and talking with my son like normal.
