  1. While I most may say that I do not meet your criteria for proof, I did have a ghost or something in a house that I lived in, back in the mid 80's. It was very annoying. Lights turned on or off, footsteps on the stairs to the downstairs, noises (LOUD noises) and just annoying in general. ETA It was sorta like having a 6 yr old around
  2. OK OK, I'll pick....uhhh....buy her some durned flowers.
  3. I think the cost of buying flowers would ruin the effect of the good price I got on the thingy. I have decided that it should be one of those "just for looking at" pieces. After all, I still have to buy her some Christmas presents and keep in mind that Walgreens ain't the Dollar Tree.
  4. Hey! That is the first picture I ever took that didn't require you to go to the drugstore to get it developed. Cut me some slack.
  5. No need, OJ has them covered. Wait! He is in jail. That means that my villain could be teeing it up at any moment. Mrnn, its's up to you and I to search the golf course's to find this ne'er-do-well!
  6. We can do both thumbs and toenails. Here at Stradial's Bar and Torture Parlor, we aim to please. (as well as hurt)
  7. Just for the record, my pcom account was hacked by some strange video posting person. I will personally track this rouge down and give him what for. I cannot believe that this scoundrel would do such a thing to my twin. Never fear! I am close to finding and catching this blackguard and when I do, I shall string him up by his thumbs, place him on the rack, shoot him at dawn, boil him in oil, draw and quarter him and then ship him to Detroit!
  8. In order to remain stationary, it is important that one not move. (sorry, my fingers sometimes do what they want) (it has caused trouble on the bus also)
  9. My parents had a policy on me and this was in the late 50's. It was just to help with funeral costs. At the time, it was not unknown for babies to not make it. There had already been a few of my cousins had passed as babies and had to be buried. BTW My mom still has the policy, but it probably won't even pay the tax on a funeral today. (so I am safe....I think)
  10. I just thought of something. If I give her this, you don't think she will be wanting me to get her flowers for the thing, do ya?
  11. It is Dec. 26th. I usually just mark one of her Christmas gifts as a birthday gift. As far as Solomon Brothers, she doesn't need cough drops. (my wife is a saint to be married to me)
  12. Her birthday is in Dec. I have just been lucky in finding some good deals early. (which is unusual for me, to buy early that is)
  13. OK, I paid $0.50 for it. I figured for fifty cents, it had to be a good deal no matter what it was. I also knew I had seen something like it before, I just couldn't remember where or what. Now, when I give it to the wife, the story will be just a little different than what exactly happened. (you know, "honey I saw it and I knew it was for you..." that kind of thing) Thank you all for your help. Special mention to lowrider, markdavid and dallasnebo! WHAT?? You have to buy something else?? I already spent fifty cents!
  14. So what is worth? $100? $200? More? Checked you last link. Thanks. I knew I got a good deal on it.
  15. That is what it is!!! I knew I had seen one before! Thank you so much!
  16. It does not open up, it is sealed except for the hole on top, it 4" wide by 7" long. The hole is 1 1/4" across and the "bristles" in the hole are quite stiff, you cannot bend them with your finger and the "bristles" stop just short of the top of the hole. It weighs about 2lbs. It is made of porcelain. I have seen one of these before, I just can't remember where and what it is for.
  17. Soooo, what is it? I don't know, but I got a good deal on it.
  18. I sent it, hope you get it. I think it something she will love, if we knew what it is.
  19. I don't know what it is. If anyone know how to post a picture, I will e-mail it to you, if you trust me with your e-mail in a PM.
