  1. A few points, 1. It is clear that the criminal was a criminal at the time the officer encountered him, after all, he had just committed a crime. 2. As soon as the criminal attacked the officer, he again committed a crime, so at that point, the officer knew he was a criminal. (I will leave out the fact that the criminal refused to obey a lawful command by a police officer, to get out of the middle of the street, which is in it's self is a crime) 3. The officer shot an unarmed man? (1) The criminal broke the officer's eye socket, whether he did that with a wrench, a ball bat or his fist, I
  2. This is a general observation an law enforcement officials and the general public. Do the police officers have a tough job in this country? Yes. Do most of them try and do that job honestly and correctly? I would say yes. At time are there abuses by law enforcement officers? Yes. What is my point? Simply this. I do not think the average rational citizen, with no ax to grind either way, supports abuse or excessive force by any law enforcement officer or agency. By the same token, I think the average rational citizen, with no ax to grind either way, supports law enforcement when the
  3. I could be wrong, but didn't JFK order the AL national guard to escort the first black students to the University of AL? And wasn't this why George Wallace backed down? Or was that in MS? I seem to remember that JFK ordered the state national guard out in one of these situations and that the governor was saying he couldn't, but he did.
  4. I am confused, how could he suffer an "orbital blowout fracture to the eye socket" from an unarmed man? Ohhhhh......wait......could it be that do to the size and strength of the criminal attacking him, it was like being hit with a ball bat? Perhaps, some are capable of actually beating someone to death with their bare hands.........nahhhh, that just crazy. Never mind.
  5. I thought everyone knew the answer to that question.......one word.......werewolf. By the way, do you know how the Lone Ranger got the name Lone Ranger? He was part of a group of rangers that were ambushed. He was badly wounded and the rest of his group were killed. Tonto came upon him and nursed him back to health. When he finally came to and saw Tonto he asked, "Where are the other rangers?" Tonto replied, "All other ranger dead. You lone ranger." True story.

  7. Zimmerman was a private citizen, I predict bad news for this public servant. But once again, I hope I am wrong.
  8. If you saw what Oboma said yesterday, you know this cop is toast.
  9. Just wondering if this shirt would pass muster.
  10. He was only unarmed because he failed to get the officer's gun. I just love the fact that apparently you can try to kill someone, fail and then call "time out", "I quit". All of this reminds me of the boy who kills his parents and is found guilty. Before the judge pronounces sentence he asks the boy if he has any statement to make. The boy replies, "I hope your Honor will take pity on a poor orphan boy."
  11. A few thoughts. 1. The shirt doesn't bother me 2. The park has a right to ban whatever they wish 3. Based on what I read, the guard was a jerk 4. I am glad to know that the park realized that they were wrong
  12. I agree that we could change course and save the "ship". I disagree that we have the people that are willing to do so. I hope I am wrong and if I am still around when this happens, I will be happy to not only admit I was wrong but state so at every opportunity. Because I believe that we are too far gone to change, does not mean that I want that to happen. It is like when I knew that my 1st marriage had to end, I did not want to be right and I would have loved to be wrong, but sadly I was right. Please do not take this comment to mean that I am not happy with the current wife, I am, but
  13. I did not write this, it was written by a retired LE officer, but I do agree with it and found it to be quite insightful. . To Officer Darren Wilson: Who will probably never read this. We've never met, but I support you. Nobody but the investigators know what your circumstances were on the day of the incident, but most all the media and minority community have already convicted you, so I support you. I have yet to hear anyone in the media question what your wife or your kids or your parents are going through in this situation, so I support you. I don'
  14. This one is a nice one about cooking soup with her dad.
  15. I watch it just for that smile. Gotta love Kate Micucci, she writes such nice cute songs.
  16. I have no doubt there are a lot of videos showing drunks doing stupid stuff with guns. Drunks tend to do stupid stuff with whatever they have around them. It is sorta the nature of the beast.
  17. Nothing major, nothing that needs debating, nothing to raise your blood pressure. Just something light and fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jeCRdXnkzs&index=4&list=PLmRDHSz5N4jsY6yDn3mYwEtkUAs1tt7UX Yeh, I know, I have posted it before, but it always makes me smile and I thought we could use a smile.
  18. The guy was drunk or stupid or perhaps both. Given the facts reported so far, they have charged him correctly.
  19. No not hardly. Like I said, he is a pretty good feller. My wife is a pretty good lady.
  20. It reminds me of the slots in Vegas......I can't beat either one.
