  1. It is their's to bare. I don't think there is much point in my continuing this discussion as I see it is fruitless in achieving common understanding. Time for me to fix a hot toddy and read something more invigorating than a Harlequin romance or Southern Homes and Gardens.
  2. Bullcheeze. Most people never dreamed of having an affair until it happened. Most people got married fully intending to stay with that person for ever. Most people shouldn't be confused with a few people just because you want to marginalize those few. The point is that affairs are a part of life and have been part of human history since before there was written records. It is impossible to say a large number of affairs, and that they are very public, is anything remotely new.
  3. I don't think this is a fair topic. Sure there are lots of cheaters who are suddenly claiming "sex addiction" but sex addiction is real and has been around a long time as evidenced by prostitution. It is both sexes, not just guys. Here's a point I want to throw out there: Don't be too quick to judge these people. I know it is easy to bash them, call them names and sit in judgment, but I know the other side of it too. I've seen couples who hate each other but won't divorce because they need the medical insurance for one spouse. I've seen men who are abused by their wife and they are
  4. Establishing one colony and a handful of settlements verses founding a country are two different things.
  5. In that Declaration, I would ask you to highlite the section that says we rebelled for religious freedom. Not there. Keep looking. The Bill of Rights and the first amendment was added AFTER the founding of the nation, after the Constitution was put together, and after we had already become a nation. The Reformation was long before any colony was established. The first amendment gave us religious freedom but it was not one of the reasons given for the rebellion or the founding of the country. It was a reason some people came here but not the reason the colonies were founded. The col
  6. I can't speak for the other poster but I sure would have a problem if it had a reference to the Torah or a Wiccan reference of any religious reference. For the life of me, I can't imagine how any religion would want to be regarded with instruments of death to other people. When we have the US military using weapons that have these sort of things on them, it only gives the enemy more rhetoric to incite their people. Anyone who thinks this is a good idea is not thinking about the impact it has and how it will be used by the enemy and how it makes the US look everywhere else. Very limited sight d
  7. Do we really want a reference to Jesus on weapons used to kill people? Are we saying God is American and wants us to kill every enemy of the United States? THAT really goes a long way toward good foreign relations and says we are all about making peace (dripping with lots of sarcasm.) I'm sure Jesus is reeeeaaaaaal proud we've got references about him on things that kill our enemies. Guess that makes us kinda like the terrorists that say Allah is on their side for going after the Great Satan. What's the difference when we claim god is on our side and they claim god is on their side? Nothing bu
  8. My Male Companion via Legal Contract, commonly referred to as "husband" but here lately goes by the designation "Ass Hole," has reluctantly agreed to let me finish the landscaping in our back yard. That was 2 months ago. Now that the check has come in from the sale of my old house, he has agreed to do the whole yard including the front. Really I told him I was going to swiftly and stealthy use a serrated blade on his male appendage early one morning while he was dreaming about a set of vivacious, blonde twins if he didn't agree to let me get this done now, before the Spring gets here. So h
  9. I take a multi-vitamin daily. I also take another C, E and B Complex to help with my diabetes. Add to that Omega 3 Fish Oil and a cinnamon each day. Knock on wood but no colds or problems in almost three years. I stay away from bitchy and negative people like SOME on here and that has helped me more than anything, especially in one certain forum.
  10. Anyone ever notice that the bitten dogs yelp the loudest? Just look at the group that has come into this thread --- the same little group that has taken over the political forum. Direct hit. Sunken battleship.
  11. My resolution is to stay out of the political forum as much as possible. I'm convinced the Band of Jackals over there are not interested in genuine discussion, but they want to blast, slam, beat up, marginalize, silence and otherwise cut off anyone that disagrees with their extreme right wing views. So to make my life easier, I am not going there. My husband told me long ago what that forum was like and I thought it couldn't possibly be that bad. My friends at work told me the same thing. They were right. The political forum can #!&% |* @$$.
  12. Please elaborate on how the some folks are talking about. Hardly think the AJC is going to send a reporter. Or a TV station either. So you must mean somebody else. Who exactloy are you saying is lazy and not doign the job?
  13. There is really something wrong with this. The Explorer Program is a good one and I don't understand why the LA police department will bow to the pressures of a homosexual agenda to get rid of the Boy Scouts. Because the Boy Scouts won't include gays or agnostics and atheists, the LAPD has decided that affiliation with them runs counter with the city's non-discrimination policy. So they are going to start another program without the Boys Scouts. I don't get it. http://www.edgeboston.com/index.php?ch=news&sc=&sc2=news&sc3=&id=100459
  14. Hardly a story worth investigating. Hiram is not Atlanta or Marietta. Not a story worth taking time to pay a reporter when there are other things to do.
  15. I don't think anybody is insignificant or inconsequential. All people matter and have worth. That's just me and how I was raised. Maybe you could have phrased that a little better, but I think I get it. Still, there are better ways to say that.
  16. My husband and I saw Celtic Woman in concert at the Fox and it was AMAZING!
  17. My husband and I are fighting over the re-landscaping of the yard. He is a wonderful man and I love him dearly but his work is taking him away to the ungodly tune of 65 hour weeks for at least the next 6 months, not to mention the once-a-month weekly trips. Our project to redo all the landscaping is only 1/10th completed and I want to get it done by a professional. This is a large job, with at least 50 different shrubs and trees. There are several trees that will have to be removed and a complete revamping of some walls and terraces. I have two quotes now from outfits in East Cobb, but both we
  18. What criteria are you wanting the rankings to show? There are thousands of different rankings.
  19. As cold as it is going to be, I bet it won't be near as crowded as it usually is. I've only gone to the last three so I don't know how it is in really bad weather.
  20. Am I missing something? This thread is like code or something.
