Wow. No need for that. That is just mean.

I just checked the website. It says they are closed Wednesday and Thursday. I didn't know they were closed on Wednesday. I always go on Friday since that is one of my off days. Sorry for giving the wrong information.

The recycling center at the landfill is open every day except Thursday and Saturday.

It was disappointing. My husband and I stayed the whole time, in the rain, and watching the painful mess. But we're still UGA PROUD! GO DAWGS!
-
You said I was full of it. That is an attack. You did more than just make fun of my screen name. You went after me as a person. I am not offended that made fun of my screen name. I'm asking you not attack me as a person, that's all.
-
Not "sir" but "m'am." No sense is being terse or go after me personally.
-
Yes, you did. To an article that said the equivalent to "the earth has life on it." The article just gave the facts that every news group is reporting -- that there was a meeting. One article like that doesn't remove the echo chamber lock you're in.
-
I read plenty. I'm only saying that always seem to link or quote a very biased blog or author and always repeating the mantra of how the media is lying if it disagrees with you. That is an echo chamber.
-
I'm saying you're staying in an echo chamber that resonates conspiracy. I just don't accept that but I'm sure you disagree with me on that. We're good.
-
I don't buy into the conspiracy theory that the media is manipulating everything. If you do, then you're in some sort of echo chamber and just a blog bunny, hopping from one right wing site to another. To each their own.
-
Not fair to attack he media on this. They just reported what happened and the contradictions just like there are in most things, especially people. Especially religion.

It isn't fun! Most of the doctors say it is the most painful of the orthopaedic surgeries. I can say the patients we've had would tend to agree.
-
Why would you post something like this that you know is going to make people mad? No different than the Westboro Baptists that protest at funerals. Leave it alone. We don't need any outside groups causing problems here and you seem to be one of those people that just likes to start stuff!

Let me add something here. It is legal only because there was a ruling a long time ago about it being benign ceremonial deism. Look at the comments from everybody. Hardly benign and nothing ceremonial about it. Legal it is. One day I think it will change because the first go round was an excuse to keep it. Eventually, it will go the other way.
-
You're catching on. I happen to agree that the stickers are completely legal though a very bad idea. Whatever. I will say that I've been on this board for a long time, rarely post, read a good bit though. What I figured out a long time ago is that you're not going to convince anybody. Just give it up. Their mind is made up and no matter the facts, you won't get anywhere. You're just driving your blood pressure up.

Dr Maloon and his practice see a lot of patients at Paulding Hospital. He is really good.

Always talk to your primary care first. I use Marietta Neurology but Dr Maloon is in Marietta, too, and he is good.

The KY clerk who won't issue marriage licenses

And the point? The judge has to decide because that is his job. This lady doesn't get to make that decision. Her job is to issue the license. She was elected to do the government processing, not decide what God's authority is or is not. -

I'm all for accommodation when it is reasonable but sometimes it is just not. This is how it was explained to me by my boss. When we work the floor, we often have to take care of patients that are there because of something they've done. Many women come in with complications from aboortzions, for example. We have AIDS patients. I still take care of them regardless what my personal feelings about their situation. That is my job and I do it. But we are allowed to not give the scripts that induce aboortzion if we object, as long there is someone else who will give the medication and as long i -
The KY clerk who won't issue marriage licenses

The judge grants the divorce because that is his job and the couple has the right to divorce, not because he agrees with whether or not the divorce was right religiously. This lady only issues the license because that is her job and the couple has the right to marry, not whether or not the marriage is what she thinks god approves or not. -

Let me jump in a minute. Doesn't that same office issue process the divorce papers, too? What about people from different religions wanting to get married? All of this is in her job description as an agent of the government. She is not personally doing getting married but she is saying that people with other religious views have rights. I have to agree with the police example. If a policeman has to go to a mosque for something, that is not the same as bowing toward Mecca. -

She is discriminating against the religion of other people by using her government job to do it. The EEOC doesn't cover that. The Supreme Court refused to hear her case. I think the Supreme Court would be a higher authority and would disagree with the view you're giving. She can go the state court route but that is the problem with these state RFRA laws because it creates even more situations where everything has to end up in court. I think it is just sad that she doesn't like other people's religion and she gets to represent the government by discriminating against them and denying them their
