  1. Sir, there were no attacks of your education. As a matter of fact I have always admired the position you take on law enforcement issues. I am far from left wing. I wasn't asked to explain the comparison of Brian Nichols case.

As far as I am concerned you and I were having an intelligent debate when someone decided it was there job to tell me what was and was not relative to the debate. In my opinion that is the epitome of ignorance.

alright, so now you are suggesting that I am ignorant -

didn't realize that that the p.com forums were only meant for communication between people of your choosing -

  2. I too was born is '66 and would not hesitate to send to deport this man back to face those that he robbed of life so many years ago. I'm sure that they have relived their imprisonment over and over all of their lives. Personally I don't care who pays for his deportation...that's not the point. The point is that he face what he has done. Frankly, the firing squad sounds good to me, although I think he ought to be placed behind barbed wire with little to no food, unsanitary conditions and have someone sic the dogs on him. Yes, our government makes terrible spending choices, but how can you put a price on the lives of those that endured the inhumanity this man caused?

On this note, I dare say we need to dig up many grandfathers and great-grandfathers that owned plantations here in good ol' America - were they punished properly for mis-treating their slaves??

This ONE man is not responsible for "lives of those that endured the inhumanity" and I'd bet he relives those memories every day -

Meanwhile, little Mexico is taking over Marietta ........... but this 85 year old man is a much greater risk to society

  3. What if it was a former klansman that had killed a black college student in Missippi in the '60s? Would you still not want to spend the money to have him go to trial?

Do you think we should release Brian Nichols because it is costing too much?

~ These two issues have nothing to do with the topic of discussion

    1) if you were a klansman that had killed a black college student in MissiSSippi in the 60's - You were an American on American soil killing an American college student - thus, American dollars should be spent to turn on the chair.

    2) Brian Nichols has NOTHING to do with this, not even remotely - but I'd venture to guess than there aren't many that think an obviously GUILTY man should be spending thousands of tax payer's dollars.

~ As for the original topic, I agree with wcso.

  4.

just start a fat thread every day - I'm sure there are dozens of people that would be happy to toss an insult on a daily basis!

btw - breakfast is the most important meal of the day - don't skip it :D

oh, and no soft drinks -

    ok?!

    :D

  5. I think her point is more along the lines of what they are selling for profit. I can't even begin to count the animals we have had turned in to us and they purchased the animal from Pet Dreams/Pet Showcase. Birds, snakes, fish, mice, etc are one thing. But when they are paying the public, let's approximate $5 - $10 for their kittens and then selling them, with no vet work and of course not spayed or neutered, they are not only contributing to the over pet population problem, they are paying people to do so. This is a absurd and the animals certainly don't benefit from it. We'd even had purebred dogs people have paid them hundreds and hundreds of big bucks for surrendered to us, because they sell them to the wrong type of owners and with no educate, such as Labs chew, need a lot of training and can grow to be 75 lbs.

    BRAVO054.gif

    Exactly!

Not to mention, if one really wants a small pet such as a guinea pig, rabbit, ferret, etc.... THERE ARE NUMEROUS RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS for each!!

Why put $$ back into the pocket of an establishment that does not truly care about the well being of your new pet? An establishment that keeps the sick & injured in dirty back room where the public doesn't see them - A business that does not properly train their employees on the care of certain pets - Why put $$ back into the pocket of a business that is merely trying to make a buck, therefore purchasing dozens of small pets from breeders that breed in filthy living conditions -

Just something to think about. :)

  6. I like softscrub with bleach for the tub, scrub-free for the shower stall,

    & pinesol for the potty.

I'm an oldschool spik-n-span gal for floors

& prefer bartenders friend for my kitchen sink.

Pledge for wood, except old special things & that gets murphys oil soap

    with an Old English follow-up.

Windex is my bud for windows in general

& I use stoners spray for the glass on my

entertainment center, home & auto mirrors

& gross cooked on grease on my gas stove top

gets liquid dishsoap & baking soda.

    Yep...I dont wanna be,

but I'm strung out on that

"right thing for the right task"

    Syndrome.

  I can't even phathom the amount of time you spend in the "cleaning aisle" of the grocery store! :o

  7. I can't tell you how happy I am to know that place is out of business.

    agreed. :D

Small business pet stores are going out of business

and I can only hope that the large chain stores follow them to the grave. ((or choose to STOP selling pets for profit))

    -_-

  8. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED WITH BANK OF AMERICA, SOMETIME LAST YEAR MAYBE, A MAN WENT INTO THE BANK TO CASH A CHECK AND HE WAS ARRESTED, HE HAD NO CLUE THE CHECK WAS A COUNTERFEIT BUT, WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS, WHY DID THE BANK TAKE YOUR MONEY? THAY CAN'T TAKE YOUR MONEY, IF THEY DID NOT GIVE YOU ANY MONEY FOR THE CHECK. MOST ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE THE ONE WHO TOLD YOU THE CHECK WAS GOOD!!! THEY SHOULD HAVE JUST GAVE THE CHECK BACK TO YOU AND TOLD YOU TO TAKE IT TO THE POLICE, TO FILE CHARGES ON THE PERSON WHO SENT IT TO YOU! WHY DO THEY AUTOMATICALLY THINK YOU ARE THE BAD PERSON??

    Catch,

The bank has every right to 'take' your money to cover debits out of your acct. If she used the money to pay for bills, etc. before the deposit had cleared, she is responsible for the $ spent.

((I would imagine it to be along the same lines as "floating" a check for the bills))

    babytony,

I'm very sorry to hear that this happened to you - had you not heard about these scams before this?? This has been a common practice for scumbags for a few YEARS now!!

good luck - and I'm sure it will all work out in the end!
