  1. I grew up in Hoover (a little south of Bham) and my family still lives there. Just talked to my mom and she said it is coming down really hard now! She said they are having a mix of sleet and snow.
  2. I just got back from Wal-Mart in Hiram (I usually go to the one on Dallas Hwy, but my stepson works there and gave us a heads up that they were out of most things) and they were pretty well stocked. Plenty of milk, had C & D batteries, flavored bottle water (said they were getting ready to stock mroe plain bottled water), etc. As far as bread-they had more of the "specialty" type stuff and meat-pretty low. But all in all, more than I expected!
  3. True! I just found some available at the Container Store at Perimeter. We are meeting my dad and stepmom for lunch tomorrow in that area and I will pick up two there......Thank you again!
  4. You. Are. Awesome! Thanks so much! I never even thought about that. Ordering mine right now!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  5. Thank you! I'm not from here and don't know where a lot of stuff is....The one at town center, I think I do know where that one is now that you mention it. I've lived here almost 4 years, you think I would know more about these things! lol
  6. Perfect-thank you! Will go there first thing in am. I tried two other Walmarts, but not that one. Do you remember if they are the boxes with dividers or if they are the ones that hold about 20 round ornaments? If not, no biggie! I haven't yet....Where is JoAnn's? Thank you! Gotcha-thank you! I am looking more for the box type with dividers that hold a lot more. I had one I LOVED and it apparently got ruined. (: Thank you though! I wasn't very specific in my first post.....
  7. Hi everyone! Happy New Year's Eve! I just realized today that my ornament box got water in it somehow and was all molded inside (YUCK!), so I tossed it. I have looked all afternoon for a new one and everyone appears to be sold out. Anyone know of somehwere that may still have them? TIA!
  8. Not this one either. I can count with one finger the number of SEC schools that I will root for. I do want other SEC teams to win when playing certain SEC schools, but other than that I have one true football team that I root for.
  9. We had a great time shopping. We had a plan, spent yesterday evening mapping out where we were going, in what order, who was picking up each item at each store, who was standing in line, etc. We started at Kohls in Hiram at 2:15, then to Target, Home Depot & Walmart. Got everything on our list, with the exception of silverware set at Kohls. Great experience and everyone we ran into was nice, friendly and courteous! We were home by 7am and slept until 1pm!
  10. Ahhh, so not only is he the BEST Santa ever, he's a smart Santa too! Happy Thanksgiving!
  11. This is the best Santa EVER! Good luck and hope you have lots of excited kiddos this weekend!
  12. I have a friend that has one and really likes it. She uses it mainly for her nieces and nephews and their sporting events. I've got an Olympus DSLR and just bought a Nikon DSLR that I love.....Good luck!
  13. Her name is Aleasha---she's from Cartersville and now lives in Powder Springs...Goes to West Ridge......Does that help any?
  14. Lol--I'm with you! I met a lot of pcom folks and half the time forgot to ask who they were!! I am the blonde lady that was sitting at the laptop editing the photos that my friend was taking......
  15. Thank you so much! We had a great time! Thank you so much! We had a great time! Much appreciate y'all allowing us to do this!
  16. Hi all, here are some of the Santa pics form yesterday! A great time was had by all (with the exception of a few little ones that were a tiny bit afraid of Santa!). I believe I heard this correctly (if not, Charlies Angels can correct the #): 212 lbs of food donated! A successful donation day, but there is ALWAYS a need for donations. Hope I am posting this link correctly! http://www.flickr.com/photos/54928781@N07/?saved=1
  17. I was there last night, it was packed! A lot of fun, great food and drink specials.
  18. I stopped by and had the good fortune to meet LPPT and Johnny!! Both SUPER nice folks!
  19. My hubby is the manager and the DJ (sun-thurs) at Phoenix. You guys are right-the owners spent a TON of time and money to really change the look, atmosphere, etc. They do have great food and drink prices!! There is live music on Fridays for now, possibly going to have live music on Saturdays in the near future. Otherwise, there is a live DJ playing music and doing some karaoke. Everyone go check it out!!
  20. Do you by chance have a Nikon D90 DSLR camera? I'm sorry to hear of your closing.....
  21. I watched it again last night, and watched it again today! RTR!
  22. Best of luck-we were in the same situation a few months ago. I got the name of an independent insurance agent and gave him a call. Now we are paying HALF of what we were previously, with the same coverage! It is through BCBS of GA and we have been very pleased. My stepdaughter had to have ankle surgery at the end of July and they paid everything according to the plan. We couldn't be happier! The agent's name is Chuck Gerrald. If I can answer any questions, please let me know! PM for contact info.
