  1. Prayers lifted up for this family.
  2. So, I guess this fine is being partly based on a ticket she received and on her record for "driving to fast for conditions". The "conditions" were a solid sheet of ice all the way across one side of the road to the other on Bethel Church Rd. When she came around the curve, the road was a skating rink and a postal truck was already in the ditch due to the ice and of course she hit the ice and lost control and went into the ditch as well. We went to Paulding Probate court entered a not guilty plea, had pictures of the road conditions and everything. And guess what? You guessed it GUILTY and a $1
  3. That is correct and why she received a ticket. I was just asking if this was normal practice to base the fine on someones driving record. I agree that the law was broken and a penalty/fine needs to be paid, but $247.00 seems a bit much. True that!! For the cost of the fine it's about the price of a medical procedure!!
  4. This was first offense for this charge not coming to complete stop to turn right on red.
  5. Has anyone experienced paying a traffic ticket fine based on your driving record? The ticket was issued by a city police department(not Hiram, or Dallas)for not coming to a complete stop when turning right on red. It happened around 7:15 in the morning at a red light at the entrance of a public park. I do believe a fine should be paid (and it's not me who received the ticket), but the court clerk stated the fine of $247.00 was based on the driving record that they pulled even though the other situations were not issued by there department. I think that $247.00 is out of line for this offen
  6. We purchase ours at Home Depot last year and it was beautiful, but we will be there Saturday 11/30 ready to buy from the Patriots!!
  7. Rich's was a great tradition in Atlanta for many years. I worked there for seven years, and my Mother worked for Rich's and Federated Dept Stores for 17 years. If you have lived in Atlanta for most of your life someone in your family or close friends worked at Rich's at some point in time. I still use each year a Rich's gift box to wrap that very special gift for someone I love. For Christmas last year I gave my Mother and Mother-in-law (who's Mother worked at Cobb Center Rich's) a beautiful drawing of the Great Tree on the bridges. The artist is at the Varsity downtown on the weekends and
  8. Maybe Bruton Smith could run it since NHRA won't let him open a drag strip next to AMS.
  9. Judy was such a sweet lady, may you rest in peace.
  10. No matter if you were for the vote to pass or not, the point of it all is how the vote was handled leading up to yesterday. Even P.com did not have a topic on the subject until last Friday afternoon. I'm sure if it was something the good ole boys wanted a big turn out for it would have been countywide news to get out and vote!! It is a personal choice to purchase a legal product and the local government is telling you that product cannot be purchased on a certain day of the week. You can buy all the cigs you want on Sunday, but no alcohol. In a way this is no different then Mayor Bloomberg
  11. Guess I'll keep going to Rockmart (Polk County) to buy on Sunday. Guess the county or the city of Dallas doesn't need my money!!
  12. Ok, thanks. I thought it was Tanner Farm since Clark came in with lights and sirens on last night around that time.
  13. Did this happen in Tanner Farm subdivision?
  14. What's going on in Yorkville? I'm at work and cannot stream WSBTV
  15. I live in Yorkville off 101 but at work right now. Please keep posting updates for the area. Thank you!!

  18. Prayers lifted up for your Mother and you.
  19. At 8:00 this morning Dallas announced it on KICKS 101.5
  20. No, Bob is not the campground host he plans all the activities there at the park. He can tell you anything you need to know about camping and hiking. He is a very nice man that loves working with people. Yeah, make sure your food and trash is put up even if you leave to go walk, hike, and when you go to bed. The first trip up there this past June a guy showed us some video he had taken of a Mama bear and cub at a distance in the woods. We rode up to the cabins and that's the area the guy spotted them. We have never seen any though. Sorry, Lady Raider for changing your subject a bit. I
