I just read that the autopsy came back clean for alcohol and drugs. He was flying without a valid license because his had been suspended after a DUI arrest.

Wonder if he was singing that when he left on his last plane trip? I'm leaving on a prop plane crashed in the ocean so I won't be back again.

Anyone ever have the privilege of going to a doctor that was actually in medicine because they wanted to help people? These days it feels like primary care physicians are not much more than sales people for pharmas and the mega health care providers. Does anyone ever go to the doc and not get sent for further testing or a new script?

It's really not that simple. The majority of graduates with a PhD in medicine will go into research in lieu of practicing medicine. The main reason being malpractice insurance. And it was politicians that allowed insurance companies to get the stranglehold they have. Just about everything in this country is political. Another factor is weighing out the cost of a PhD to a Masters in medicine. Going from memory, but it takes 15 years for a Doc to get to even with a P.A. in actual profit above and beyond paying for education, insurance and time spent. Roughly 45 to 50 years old.

Really? Name one.

We were screwed when the politicians allowed the insurance companies to dictate our health care.

Try basting the asparagus with BBQ sauce. I make my own from scratch but the bottled ones do okay too. The sugar in the sauce caramelizes on the asparagus and gives it a little different twist. Caution, burns quickly.
