I figured you would get a kick out of the cartoon NJ. You told me I might be pleasantly surprised by Deal's abilities as governor and I have been, eventhough I didn't support or vote for him. I think he is doing better than Barnes would have and he is much better as governor than the dope in the White House is at president. BUT, the cartoon was cute.

Can't see campus security changing much and plant operations will have to remain about the same. I can see where the others you have mentioned might be consolidated. I guess it depends on the current workload (or lack thereof) of these departments. My point was that the two campuses aren't being consolidated, just the management and operations. There were comments in the article asking if they were going to move to the "too small SPSU campus" or the "overcrowded KSU campus."

I also work with a lot of SPSU, GT, Florida and Auburn grads. Pretty much without exception the SPSU folks are easier to deal with and have more common sense. And the Auburn and Florida folks are the worst of all.

The way these mergers have been working is the only real change is in the upper management. You know, the people that don't do anything to start with. This was the case with the merger of Macon State and Middle Georgia. I did start picking up work at the Middle Georgia campus. I seriously doubt that there are any plans to move both schools onto the same campus. I was just at Southern Poly last week for the first time in many years. I knew they had been building, but I didn't realize the quality and size of the new buildings.
