  1. I agree BellSouth stinks! My phone didn't work one morning, so I called from my cell, they fixed it by the day's end and then charged me $85 and this was to fix their problem. I think now, after holding for 45 minutes and speaking to 1/2 a dozen people, I said we'll just cancel both lines and go with Vonage, then suddenly they got the authorization to remove the charge. I say BS/AT&T is bad!

  2. Thanks askmom for adopting from us, we'd love to see you next weekend; come on MrsGoBlue - you can always find a new hubby but we have the perfect tannish to blonde colored Lab mix to even out your mix of cute pooches, and thanks Meltid for the offer, which we appreciate, but I'll be out of town all week and knew I'd have no way to come pick anything up.

And an extra special thanks to everyone that brought us food today! 7 big bags of dog food is just what we needed to get us threw a week or 2. We had to go pick them up because they wouldn't fit in the adoption car to make it home. I believe that was the animal car Busymom was referring to -- a big ugly purple Suburban covered in paw prints, I'm sure someone has seen it around or in the Petsmart or Petco parking lot.

  3. We have a blue rubbermaid container to the left or right of our adoption table, with signs on all 4 signs, including photos of items we need, such as newspaper, dry dog food and canned cat food.

Please stop by today and take home a furry friend!

  4. I would not suggest immedietly vaccinating a puppy for Parvo that has tested Parvo, or it would more than likely die from double exposure. We wouldn't because at that point it's about deciding to euthanize them or trying to make them live. Parvo this year is bad and most aren't making it without extreme care which costs hundreds of dollars for the average person. You should never vaccinate anything that is sick anyway. You could define sick in any way you wanted, but same would go for a kitten with an upper respiratory infection. Vaccinating it would be double exposure. You should wait until an animal is healthy before vaccinating it against anything.

  5. A parvo test determines if they have been exposed to parvo. You could get a positive result from a vaccine, so we test them before they ever receive any vaccinations. It's not 100%, but best we can do to give adopters good piece of mind. However it also means sometimes we'll get a positive result on a negative puppy. Bloody stool, say caused from hookworms can make a test show positive too. We do this to all our puppies prior to adoption.

  6. The guy who cleans our carpets has a "urine stick" and can test all areas of the carpet that have been urinated on. He then puts a heavy sanitizer on the area. Best thing to do would be to give someone like him a call. PM me if you would like the # (he's trustworthy, reliable, low rates...we've used him for 10 yrs...inlaws have used him for 20 yrs.)

Adding another litter box may help.
