  1. I desperately need easy cheap ideas on what to wear to a halloween costume party with my hubby.

I thought about being a brick and he could be a brick layer, but that means I'd have to wear a box, and couldn't sit down....

    Vampires are so done....

I was thinking about strapping 6 baby dolls on a belt and wearing black and going as Angolina Jolie, but what would hubby go as?

Any ideas? (I can sew, BTW)

    BRAD PITT!

  2. The biggest misconception about a do bite, is -- it is up to date on it's shots? It doesn't matter if it had a Rabies an hour before it bit you or is years overdue, it has to be quarantined either way. The worst thing would be to have to go through Rabies shots for any human, it's painful and very expensive.

Just to clarify, it is illegal to tether or chain or tie out a dog for any amount of time. UNLESS it is also in an enclosure, such as a fenced in yard, dog pen, x-pen, etc. The law was created because when happens if your dog is tethered and a stray dog or coyote and comes to it. It's stuck and can't get away from whatever is trying to get at it. It's a $300 fine!

  3. I take them still, also because I have so many leftover, and my baby is over a year now. As long as they don't hurt your stomach, I think it's perfectly fine. The Flintstones Vitamin thing is an old school remedy for the pregnant women that say they hurt their stomach. But I'd just find the right prenatal that didn't effect before taking them, not to mention the thought of chewing one of those makes me want to barf!

  4. Chaining (AKA tethering) a dog is illegal in our county. And any dog that bites a human must be quarantined either at animal control or a vet clinic for 10 days. It doesn't matter is the dog is current on it's Rabies vaccination or not.

  5. They never remove the sac, other things just play into how it works out. Such as having a kitten or puppy neutered when they never grew a big sack then the testicles are removed and everything just shrinks back up. But when you have a well endowed male get neutered (remove the testicles), he's most likely always going to have a sack of skin hanging.

And yes neutered male cats can easily be mis-identified by us animal people as females, especially the furry ones.

  6. If a dog has bitten, it does not matter if it has been vaccinated or not, it must legally be held for 10 day(not 15). And the only way to test an animal for Rabies is to cut their head off and send it to the CDC for testing. This occurs only if an animal dies or is euthanized while under the 10 day quarantine.

I believe the law states an animal must be current on it's Rabies. So it does not matter if it gets the 1 year or 3 year vaccine as long as it's current. I believe many vets hold off on the 3 year vaccine because then people don't take in their animal yearly as recommended.

  7. I'm opposed to anything lethal to another animal because in many households anything is possible. Vectra and KillTix are not used around here. Comfortis works great. And Capstar always does the trick, a small pill makes all fleas on their body drop dead (you can literally watch) in 30 minutes and then they are flea free. But then you have to still do something for prevention. I'm an Advantage fan myself and it has always worked or her. However, Revolution and Frontline...not so much...
