I was in the tag office today and stopped by the permit office on the way out and verified the current "rules" --- Any accessory structure that is not attached to the house must have a permit if it is bigger than 10x10, whether it is built on site or purchased and delivered. Meaning a 10x10 would not need a permit, but a 10x12 or larger would require a basic permit. If it has lights or plumbing, etc, then additional permits will be needed

Just to clarify, I never said what I would do personally. I don't know because (thankfully) I have never been in the situation. I do know that whatever choice I make, good or bad, will have some type of consequences.....Consequences that I would knowing accept base on decision. I feel bad for the ones who felt they had no choice, if any.....but it is what it is. I do think they are going overboard with high bails. These were non-violent crimes, basically blue collar crime, imo.

I understand what you are saying, but it doesn't make it ok either. Ultimately, the teachers knew what they were "agreeing" to was wrong and they knew the potential consequences if caught. They were caught. Following the herd because every one else is doing it or because that is what you are expected to do is the one the thing I struggle to teach my kids not to do. It's comparative to joining a gang. It is seemingly impossible to say no, but it is not impossible. Sometimes those kids have to get out of the area in order to survive or make it. My point is they made a choice and have to l

I don't know about a permit being required, but i do remember something in the paulding county zoning restrictions in reference to accessory buildings and setbacks from the property lines and the maximum size being 1,000 square feet per acre of land, etc sorry i could not help with the permit question though......

Another reason I wouldn't go to S & S.
-
Well, I am very sad to see them go. Maybe they could have tried hard to bring in more customers, but either way another Paulding County business is gone. Times are hard on every one. And I have never been to S & S and don't plan on going. Too loud, alcohol in a business that caters to children and teens just doesn't mix well with me + I've heard it's loud and pricey. I liked the atmosphere and the old time feel to the place. My son and his buds went there often. You will be missed.

David Barton "Bart" Shellhorse
Jetsmom replied to Clark Funeral Home's topic in May they rest in Peace
I was saddened to hear of the loss of my old classmate Bart. I had the pleasure of meeting his father not too long ago and he was very proud of his son. My condolences go out to his family and friends. -
I agree with you. When you have a community come together to help out and look, pray, worry and (for some) help put up flyers, contact media, etc., etc. It would be, at minimum, kind to let folks know why. Even if the reason is he needed a break. It would minimize the speculation and it might possibly educate others. I don't have any idea what happened or why, but I have been reposting his information on fb. I would like to know what happened. And yes, it does appear the page has been deleted. I suspect it was because he was found. ETA: He was found in Texas and his fa

Brian Ivey fb link Fox 5 Atlanta video I haven't seen this posted yet, but Bryan Ivey has been missing since Friday. His wife was interviewed on Fox 5, yesterday and the family is very worried about him. The link above is the fb page that has been set up for updates. Although I agree that police can be overzealous and a few other things, we don't know what was told to the officers or the instructions given to them. It may have included "Baby/Child in Danger", or "weapons involved". Heck they could have been told "hostage situation". Without knowing the facts..... Of course, had any of those issues occurred, and they did not respond "zealously" enough and something happened, they would have crucified. I haven't heard of any reports that any pedestrians were injured, so maybe, just maybe, they apprehended the shoplifters without incident. W

I am literally crying right now. Thank you God he is ok and that he called you. You now have permission to do whatever you like to him for putting you through this. I'm not kidding. Then hug the stuffings out of him again. And thank you for letting us know. I am thrilled he is alive and well.

I can't imagine what you are going though. I posted the information on fb also, but there is no contact phone number for information. It doesn't sound like the young man's car has been found yet. I know you have already contacted his friends, work, etc. I hope the police are working with you now and I would bug them incessantly. You and your family are in my prayers. Please keep us updated. Remember to take of yourself, eat, get fresh air, talk to people. That's the way to stay strong.

That is a common cashier trick called "padding the till" --- they will either not give you back the coins or will only give back some of the coins. At the end of the shift, when they count down their register/till, they pocket the extra overage. At a busy place, that would mean an extra $50 or more at the end of 8 hours. The smarter retailers and grocery stores know this and do not let the cashier count their till at the end of the shift, they have the floor manager or lead cashier do it.

Tried to pick my child up for a dr. appt. and they wouldn't release her because of tornado warning. Might release kids late. Don't panic. I bet a lot of phone calls will be going into the schools, esp. if they do let out late.

I saw where it is now illegal (as of saturday) to reprogram, "jail break" or unlock your cell phone if you are tied to a carrier and do not have their permission first. This only applies to phones acquired after saturday 1/19/13. The violations would include reloading the operating system or swapping SIM cards, etc to enable the phone to work on another carrier or in another country on some models. Here is a blurb from the story: "Violations of the DMCA [unlocking your phone] may be punished with a civil suit or, if the violation was done for commercial gain, it may be prosecuted as a cri

I guess you would need to define cheap. a $500 car ? a $1500 car ? a $3000 car ? -
tiles that are 10" by 10" are .83333333 square feet if you have no gaps between them, then you would need 720 of them edit: however, this web site calculator claims you need 864 tiles http://www.calculator.com/pantaserv/construction/simpletile.cgi?units=Feet

I have imagined it. My point was that even an armed citizen may or may not do the "right" thing. Fear or apathy can take over. God Forbid an innocent is shot by the "Good Guy". Our police officers are trained was my point all along. Yes, I know guns are out there. I saw one strapped to my new boss's hip as he checked on me while I was working alone. He didn't recognize my vehicle. Thankfully, the gun remained on his hip. I am not trying to take away folks' rights to "bare arms". I would just rather an officer be the one to protect if at all possible. One who is trained to react
