Just the other day I cleaned out the cedar chest...it was loaded with over 15 years of special papers. Now each child has their own and can do what they wish with them. We got a kick out of going thru it all. And even more, TWO drawers full of greeting cards for over 20 years I should be ashamed....but Im not LOL!

Sounds just like my nine yr. old...It's crazy...and she has a closet FULL of clothes. Ugg

He had 2, I had 2.....in one word COMMUNICATION~~ is key. If you do anything different with the step children, they will know..they will play it to the hilt. Be the same parent to them as you are to your own! You have to live your life/in your home. There should be a court ruling on who gets to spend which holidays/vacations & wkends with whom.. There will be times, when other things come up..child may want to go to a friends for a sleep over...or invite others along on your vacation...& then there is sports..practice!! there is no book..just communication and you can agree that
