    When my wife retires at the end of May, she will lose her company sponsored healthcare plan. Her premiums will increase from $151.00 per month to between $600.00 and $700.00 a month through one of the private exchanges. A 400% increase is quite an increase I'd say. What savings? Those who think there will be savings and that we'll get better care and service from our doctors truly have their heads buried someplace where they should not be.

    And some people have enough personal responsibility that they do NOT expect the government to rescue them because they made a bad decision and lost money as a result.

    I try to be cautious and conservative in what I do with my money. What others should do is their business, not mine.

    I'll simply respond by saying that my investments have provided a much better return on investment than the money I paid into Social Security. So, absolutely YES, I trust private business FAR MORE than the set of morons we have running our federal government, particularly, our moron-in-chief.

    Believe me when I say that I have paid a very fair share of taxes and still am. If I had a choice, I would never, ever choose Medicare or any other plan run by HHS and the totally incompetent Mrs. Sebelius.

    This "unaffordable" care act is a complete debacle. Obama is doing everything he can to decimate our healthcare system. There are better solutions out there but we are stuck with the "UCA".

    My cardiologist was complaining to me yesterday about the new system and how wait times to see our doctors will increase. He's absolutely correct. No doctor can say that he/she cannot take Obamacare. Obamacare is not insurance; it is a disaster of a law. Even when you enroll through the healthcare.gov site (a disaster I avoid), you actually enroll with an insurance company like United Health or a provider like Kaiser.

    We have a 60" Panasonic Smart Viera Plasma TV. I compared the Panasonic LED/Plasma and others including the Samsung LED and Plasma. The Panasonic plasma has by far the best picture of all the ones I checked out. Go plasma while you can, and, if you go plasma, go Panasonic.

    I recall Eddie saying he was going somewhere in northern Florida. The weather further south is currently 64 degrees, going to 79 degrees today.

    We have a Rinnai. It is compact and is mounted outside. Water heats quickly; I cannot speak to bills being lower because we moved to a new house in Florida. I'd buy it again.

    No insult taken. I had great fun curling and hurling stones down the ice - about 40 years ago!

    Having curled for many years, I can tell you that I never played stoned or drunk. Again, great game. Like shuffleboard on ice.

    Curling is a wonderful sport. I played for many years when I lived in Winnipeg (Manitoba, Canada).

    Watched it on Ed Sullivan and was in row 5 in Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto later that year attending their concert. Great group and great show.
