  1. I know and it was meant in jest. TP would have been tossing out insults.
  2. Pat, so it was OK for Cummings to lie to the committee? You're OK with that? That's the point.
  3. Please read; this guy should be thrown out of congress. http://oversight.house.gov/release/new-irs-e-mails-lois-lerner-funneled-elijah-cummings-info-targeted-conservative-group/
  4. And, what makes you think that others are not equally observant? My opinions are also my own just as youra are your own. I suspect that, to at least some extent, your opinions have been influenced by conversations with Pat.
  5. Perhaps you are right. I do know the difference between opinions and news. And, yes, people will naturally gravitate to those with whom they agree. I have a real problem listening to Obama going off on one of his anti Republican or the 1% rants. I have to turn the TV off whenever he speaks.
  6. What a crock. I am sorry; I cannot say it any differently. Why does the left always whine and accuse others when they don't get their way?
  7. Ever watch (p)MSNBC or CNN? If you want fodder or propaganda, both are loaded, MSNBC more than CNN. And to which side do they provide fodder? The left.
  8. We should add Ali to the Jane Fonda set of "non-heroes"
  9. While I've not withdrawn anything from my IRA, the distribution is 2014 income, not 2013 as far as I know.
  10. I started to read and I remembered Ali saying these things.
  11. Two points: John Wayne nailed it. Bill Ayers, who headed the Weathermen at that time, is a friend and mentor of Barack Obama. Ayers is an elementary school teacher; Obama is our president, unfortunately.
  12. Hear, hear...along with "we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it" from the mouth of an ultra arrogant Democrat politician.
  13. I take Metformin and Glipizide. Metformin can cause occasional diarreah. The Metformin may reduce his A1C which is the average blood glucose over the past three months. I am currently a 6.8. When I was first diagnosed my A1C was 13.2. I skipped right over the pre-diabetic part! Metformin: http://www.webmd.com/diabetes/biguanides-for-type-2-diabetes Side effects: http://www.drugs.com/sfx/metformin-side-effects.html Is your husband overweight? Losing weight can help - a lot. I was 184 when I was diagnosed and am now 158 (I am only 5'7"). 184 on me was pure madness.
  14. What is pre-diabetic? Unfortunately, you either are or you are not. I am diabetic and have been for 8 years. Your husband should change his diet and consider more exercise. Check out: http://www.diabetes.org/ and: http://www.diabetesselfmanagement.com/ I am a Type 2 diabetic. If it would help your husband to learn more about what is coming, send me a PM. I am down to earth and realistic about my diabetes.
  15. Demonstrated consistently by the current occupant of our White House.
  16. My suggestion is similar and is based on federal taxes paid.
  17. Want to rile up Democrats? This suggestion would do it. I prefer a basic means test: Do you pay federal income tax? Please check the table below to see how many votes you have earned. No tax, no skin in the game, no vote. Then have various tiers - basicallly the more you pay, the more you vote counts. It would be a good start in turning this country away from the gimmee attitude and entitlement society. The above means test would be slammed by Democrats as well as the intelligence test.
  18. The greed and envy of the successful is demonstrated regularly by one who loves to post here. And, the class warfare flames are being fanned by this guy:
  19. This attitude is demonstrated regularly, usually by Democrats.
  20. It's a shame really; we pay these people excellent salaries; provide them with the best benefits; and what do we get? Arrogant civil servants (??) who do nothing because they do not know what to do (very few have any private sector experience it seems); who become defensive and arrogant when challenged; who talk down to those whom they serve because they are PhDs and feel superior to everyone else. Pisses me off!
