Reading this makes me ill and also grateful for what I have! I was well covered when I worked and now on Medicare and a secondary insurance that is, so far, affordable. I seldom pay anything at the Dr. and meds are low. I can't imagine what some of these families will do. I have friends and family who are struggling with the cost of medications. Question: why are the same meds so much less expensive in Europe than here?

Well I got some advice from a friend and what she did. So I think I will go her way for now. I have my first appt. tomorrow. Thanks so much for those who responded.

I honestly would probably think it was ok to wade; I would not think "alligator". I am moving to FL within a few months and this was an eye opener.

I also freeze water bottles for coolers. I reuse them over and over and mark them so not to use them to drink. No watery mess and pop back in the freezer at night.

I have an unofficial report that the gun was owned by a extended family member; and in a closet.

Sadly it isn't just small children who "play" with guns. A neighbors teenage granddaughter did the same thing about 3 years ago and died instantly while showing it to friends. I think that not having a gun is a good idea. Like Pubby alluded to; I have a gun hidden; and ammunition hidden in another spot. I would have to ask the intruder to wait a minute in order to get it all together. Such a tragedy.
