Years ago I had an Acer and just was not pleased; but it was a long time ago. Then I got a Gateway; it served me very well for more years than computers are meant to! LOL, I am with you All my children eventually left home and my daughter (who had 3 kids) asked me if I wanted to got with them to go trick or treating? I said " He!! NO. I did it for 20 years straight while i raised you 4 kids". I have no desire to go. Of course; back in the day - we took the kids and the adults carried a "to go " cup. As you stopped at the houses; the adults got a little sompin, sompin, in their cup to help them thru the journey! Call me a rotten parent;! Oh well

LMAO I have always said, for years, if we can put a man on the moon, we can certainly figure out a way to give a mammogram without smashing one's breast between two plates while resting your head on a metal monster. I think that if a man had to get a prostrate test under similar circumstances, there would be great strides in improving this barbaric test; IMHO.

Anytime I load my granddaughters into the car to head out for a trip or special occasion, I always say "We're off like a herd of turtles". Now, they say it too! If I crawled into a tub that was too hot, I used to say, "What a speesy, spicey meatball"; that makes absolutely no sense. Once when my oldest was in high school (and I was a bit younger and more high strung), I was taking her and two friends somewhere when someone pulled out in front of me and then honked their horn at me for getting too close. Thanks, pubby. I am not sure that the direction this topic has gone is where we need to be considering the pain this family is already in. Though I understand the intent, it is also painful to those involved. They get it.

I do know that it is true; a relative lives close to me. I am sure that eventually the details will emerge when the family is ready. I am also waiting for more information as there are a few people who plan to help the family with food, etc. during this tragic time. I feel it is up to a spokesperson from the family to relay more information when the time is appropriate. I am sure prayers are necessary.

Every time I turn off the grill; I also turn off the gas tank. Then when I grill again; I turn on the gas; and turn on the burners. Is it necessary to turn the tank off each time; or am I just paranoid?

Wow! Not once did I refer to "evil" big corporation. I was merely giving the point of view from the little guy trying to buy a house. I, too, am delighted that housing prices are going up. A person, who I will not identify, told me her husband worked for the big corporation (not evil) that was buying the houses for rentals. They have construction crews and the resources to make repairs that are necessary for less money than the average joe.
