    This wording does NOT exclude the existing category of students awarded HOPE on the basis of grades. It just adds a category for those who didn't earn it, and assumes that was because of low-income. Not that that is necessarily true, but just another way of redistributing rewards and removing initiative.

    We've had DirecTV for more than 10 years and it very seldom goes out. It has, during a very strong storm, but only briefly and very seldom. Much better than cable.

    A local chiropractor, Dr. Penney, helped our German Shepherd get at least an extra year of quality life with his efforts, and has been working with animals for quite some time. Not so new, but I guess not too widely known.

    Assuming we all think being selfish is bad, who's more selfish... someone who works to earn what he or she has and wants to keep it all....OR someone who did not work (for whatever reason) and wants what the working person has?

    Hey, they have to have someone on duty there so they can sleep during the daytime. Now, they have to doze in the chair for the deputy;in the room where people line up to register their car. I've seen the guy sleeping in that chair more than once.

    These things should use the acronym LOST. It would more accurately describe the likely fate, and in the event it passes, a description of what happens to the money. New airport, anyone?

    Forgot some stuff... Walk along the Riverfront, see the aquarium, ride a riverboat (one goes from the aquarium upriver to the Zoo--both are world class), and a nightime riverboat cruise is terrific. Above all, have a great time. It's a phenomenal city.
