Actually aside from taxes, any true known amount what has been spent on that airport that was not going to cost the taxpayers? Oh, and that movie studio that sits vacant and up for sale with a $5 million bond that I believe is approaching $7 million in expenditures

I am registered as an unaffiliated voter. I choose to vote for who I believe is best in my thinking. For my Republicans friends, pls find an electable candidate. For my Democratic friends, if Hillary gets elected I will supply the shotgun and shells for you to take me down

Get involved to learn. I would wager has surpassed 6.5 million of taxpayer $$$ yet sits vacant. Original bond was $5mil, which was spent. My understanding another 1.5 was approved just to keep the lights on

Not certain what a buyer would pay, but the taxpayers are on the hook for millions $$$$$ via the bonds for many years. Think in terms of a 30 year mortgage on your home. For example, that $65 million Government complex on 278 is a 30 year bond. My understanding the studio went way over the initial bond, and additionally nobody can really account for what has been spent at the airport

Well at least they keep it illuminated at night. Have they placed a "for sale" out front yet or waiting for a buyer? Oh snap, just remembered the Director cancelled the marketing contract due to some "conflicting" business deals. Bottom line, metro area and outskirts is doing extremely well in filming productions and looking for studio space. There is something wrong here as the taxpayer studio sits vacant and/sold. Think about, something is not right

Bottom line, an attempt or such. No jobs have been created. Have a great taxpayer facility, yet no jobs. Do the math and report back. Oh, absolutely agree if it has not been successful to date.....................there is a problem to spending more on it.

Don't forget to mention the $6.5 million studio that is a failure, and vacant, and has been up for sale for many months.

That's the way I interpret the sign ordinance. If it's a nylon or such banner there is a time limit you can hang it. Additionally I had read a topic on FB several months ago where a question came up about the Silver Comet Field banner/tarp signage placed over the permanent Paulding Northwest Airport signage on 278. People had even commented at night you could not even see what the sign said as the lights bled through all the letters. Last I heard they have replaced the signage, but it's not even illuminated at night.

Not trying to be an arse but I have read the sign ordinance myself. Only assuming as you stated a "banner" tied to a couple of trees. That is considered "temporary" signage, and has an expiration time frame as stated in the ordinance. Not certain if you are making this your homestead or peecom business, or both. I am sure on eight acres it will be very nice. But read the sign ordinance again and correct me if I am wrong

Your comment is a pure example of the division this issue has brought in the community. Let me ask you this, who is holding up taking concerns to Court??? My understanding the Plaintiffs are ready to be heard, yet the Defendants are dragging it out. Some "group" does not want to go to Court. You have to admit, they have had ample time for their defense

Good Luck wif that as this all became about behind closed doors and a "hush" retreat. Bottom line the leadership needs to step up and settle this matter now. Whatever the outcome, people will have to accept it. Dragging the litigation out is in no way a positive for the community
