  1. All though I haven't said on here...I have been keeping you and your father in my prayers. I so glad he is getting better.
  2. We ate at Benson's many times but the food just was not as good as Rodney's! I wasn't surprised when we drove by there last night that it was closed. I will miss Tina! She is a super great person and waitress! I sure wish Rodney would buy it again. His other location is so out of my traveling route.

  4. Thanks LR. I know you do know how much I love my mom! This is such a hard thing to do...thinking about putting her in a nursing home....yes, I am taking my time and will be really checking them out. I've been keeping you in my prayers.
  5. I am going to start looking into Nursing Homes for my mom soon. She's had two bad falls and this last one she hurt her back badly. We were at the ER Saturday and I will be calling an Ortho doctor as soon as they open this morning. Sadly, I'm not able to lift her by myself when there is no one here to help me. I am not rushing into this...I will be looking into getting other help too. I'd just like to have a list of questions to ask when I visit nursing homes. Also, do you have a loved one in a nursing home here or close by? What are some good ones and more importantly which ones should we
  6. We dropped out landline about 8 months ago. It had so much static that we couldn't hear anyone calling anyway. (No the phone company couldn't fix it.) Just using cell phones has worked great for us.

  21. I think you need to go thru a doctor if you want insurance to cover most of the cost.. My doctor sent me to Benchmark Physical Therapy in Hiram for my thumbs. I've gone three times so far...Started last Monday. They have worked wonders on my thumbs and are fantastic people!
  22. Me too. They will be things to treasure forever. I have one of the many letters my dad wrote me. It's in the original envelope that says "Delivered by Hand" which means he came to see me and handed me the letter. I have many other things of my dad's but this is the most meaningful. LR Please know that you are still in my prayers. You are a strong woman and from what you have said were able to do all your mom asked of you. She is with your dad smiling down from heaven knowing how much you loved them.
  23. Our "Michael" will arrive hopefully Thanksgiving Day. He took the train back to the North Pole last year and is riding the same train coming back. Santa is good friends with the conductor of this train. We have pictures of Michael leaving on the train and we hope to really see him on the train when he arrives as Santa has told us where and when to look for him. He will be waving out of a train car window. Of course he has to go thru "customes" so it will take a few days for him to arrive at our house after we see him go by on the train.
