My co-worker took her 5-year-old grandson to this in Alpharetta last weekend. She said it was absolutely awesome!!!
I'm wondering if it would be fun for an almost 3-year-old. I might just have to take him and see!

Traci:
Try Builders supply on Atlanta Road near I-285 and then go to Cowan Supply off Howell Mill Road. See Maurice. He will give you some good deals.
We went to Builders Supply/Surplus (whatever it is on Atlanta Road). The TV ad they use is just to lure you in. The really good stuff is just as high as Home Depot, Lowes, etc. We were very disappointed.

I just heard on the scanner that Nebo is now completely opened and all units are 10-8

Prayers said for all involved.

The patient has been extricated. Will be taken to meet the helicopter in Cartersville.
Gotta go start dinner. If anyone is listening to the scanner, please post any other info.
-
It's at 11190 Cartersville Highway.
They have not told the kind of car.
-
Left lane of Cartersville Highway north of Harmony Grove Church Road is blocked off.
-
One vehicle on its side in the ditch.
Will need helicopter. Will check to see if they are at Cartersville Airport.
One critical patient. Setting up command.
Engine 1 and Battalion 1 on scene.
Emory Flight is in base at Cartersville.
They will be extracting patient and then taking them to the bird. ETA is 10 minutes.
The dispatcher was asked not to air the tag number or OLN.

Road is blocked. Asked if Bartow needed to respond for mutual aid since they are probably closer.
They are ok with what they have. No need for Bartow

11190 Cartersville Highway close to Mile Marker 23.
One vehicle accident, passenger car.
One person entrapped. Bird is on standby.

We go every year. We go out on the Captain Anderson's 1/2-day fishing trip. It is a LOT of fun!! We've never caught any real big ones, but we've been on the boat with people who have.
If I'm not mistaken, it costs $100 for the two of us. I feel it's well worth it, even if I don't catch any fish. My husband is the one who wants to catch the fish! I just like the fun of being on the boat, but I think I'd like it even more if I caught a big fish!!!!

Yeah, I know it was too far away from Ridge Road, but the sirens I heard are what made me get on the scanner. Then I heard the call for life flight.
I'd listen to the archieves, but my computer no longer has any sound.

Emory Flight asking for patient report.
Emory has been notified, but nothing was aired over the scanner.
I think the incident with the 11-year-old is in Douglas County.
Landing zone is at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
I've got to head out to my daughter's, so if anyone hears anything or has any info, please post.

I live off Ridge Road and just heard a lot of sirens. I turned on the scanner and something was said about an 11-year-old being choked with an extension cord and a family member trying to get a ride to be enroute.
There are setting up a landing zone at the intersection of Angham Road and Cleburne at the church. I'll try to get more.
Not sure if this is even connected to the sirens I heard.
Emory Flight has ETA of about 4 minutes.

If the marijuana was used for medicinal purpuses, shouldn't they be able to prove that? Sounds like there's a whole lot more to this story. . .probably more than just a "small amount" of marijuana.

It could have been the car from the wreck last week. I think GSP called S & S out on that one.
If you're referring to the wreck on East Paulding with the double fatality, they have that car. It's a white Ford Focus, or what's left of it. It will make your stomach churn to see it.

I would like to know how much time he did before they thought it was safe to allow him out.
21 months with 10 years probation. He was convicted in Gwinnett County.
Sorry! I posted this before I got to the end and saw that someone else had already posted it.

She is just precious!!! They grow way too fast.

It's not Alsobrooks any more.
S & S Towing and Recovery has it leased for their impound lot. Alsobrooks is out of business as far as the wrecker service goes and has been for over a year.
I don't think they (S & S) were the GSP list wrecker last night, but I can't remember who it was.
Thanks for the info!! If that's not the car, then there was another very bad wreck.

Does anyone know what color car the woman was in? The reason I ask is because this morning, I went past Alsobrook's on Ridge Road. There was a group of people standing around a VERY badly smashed small gold car. I wondered if that might be the car she was in.

Prayers said for all involved. I was hoping this weekend wouldn't be like last weekend.
-
Prayers are being said for you, your daughter, and that precious grandbaby.
-
God bless you, LR. You will be in my prayers.

Denise, you ARE a very strong woman, and I know you get that strength from God. There's no way, after what you've been through, that it could come from anywhere else. I continue to pray for your family and for Ashton to make a complete recovery.
Does anyone finance a auto older than 2001?

There is a company out of Illinois called Road Loans. They finance older cars, and they might go older than 2001. I think it depends on the miles. I think their cut-off is $70,000.
You might want to give them a try.
I think their website is www.triadfinancial.com.
