Actually....you would be surprised at how much things reflect off the snow -- don't get me wrong....it gets really dark -- but it doesn't take much light to make a difference. Imagine how beautiful it is at Christmas with all the houses decorated with OUTSIDE Christmas lights.....Everything just glows....it is so beautiful...and Cold...don't forget COLD!

It is NO different than a land developer putting a big beautiful housing subdivision near an Air Force Base and then the new homeowners complain about noise from the aircraft flying over their homes.....um DUH! There AF base with ALL the fighter jets were there BEFORE you bought your home....did they think the Air Force was going to stop flying and training pilots just because of the new homeowner? It is the same scenario.
