  1. Today was a GOOD day for the produce! There were big bags of lettuce, cole slaw, spinach, kale. They also had some apples, oranges, white grapes, red grapes, a few peaches, potatoes (sweet & regular), carrots, broccoli, egg plant, I even saw a butternut squash, a few black berries, onions galore and a gallon of milk!! If you missed it, you missed some good stuff!!
  2. Tomorrow is the FREE Produce Day behind Helping Hands of Paulding Co. Food Bank in Dallas. It's actually being distributed from Shiloh Baptist Church, which is directly BEHIND Helping Hands. It may start as soon as the truck is unloaded and sorted. The posted time is 10-2 or until it runs out, whichever comes first. Not sure exactly what time the truck gets there, though!! There are NO RESTROOMS, please plan ahead, be patient and HAVE A GREAT DAY!! Only for folks aged 55 and over. The workers will ask for ID's and that person (aged 55 and over) must be in the car!! Can't send anyone to
  3. We've been using Curtis for a few years now. Haven't had any issues and we recommend Curtis to everyone who asks us about Insurance.

    BOLO

Next door is a great way of communicating with your neighbors. Which FB, would be a great avenue, as well, just need to make it a private page!!!
  5. What channel was it on? Do you have Comcasts "local" station?? I was there yesterday and no one said anything about being on tv. Thanks
  6. Oooops, I did forget that small detail. Helping Hands us located at 228 W. Spring St. Dallas and Shiloh Baptist Church is directly behind Helping Hands. You'll see all if the cars lined up. There should be someone to direct Shiloh is where the distribution will be taking place. From 10 until it's all gone.
  7. It’s that time of month again! We are giving away FREE fruits and vegetables to seniors age 55+ on Tuesday, March 21, 2017! They do NOT have to be clients of Helping Hands or residents of Paulding County nor is any paperwork required! No need to get out of their cars either! Please pass this information on to your family members, friends, neighbors, classmates, church pals or anyone you know age 55+. Remember to post it on your Facebook page or any other social media platform. We began this mobile food program in July 2016 and have been giving out an average of 35-50 pounds per family!
  8. NO, Brains and Common Sense along with Respect and Manners is/are (?) in SHORT SUPPLY!!! One is considered an Adult when they reach the age of 18. You know, the age in which one could join the U.S. Military. Obviously, anyone of age IS STILL A MAN OR A WOMAN, "IF" their mental stability is in question, that's a different story!!! Regardless, IF YOU ARE AGE 18 OR OLDER, YOU ARE AN ADULT!!!!!! That's just a piss poor excuse for folks to try and get out of OR defend their stupid behavior.
  9. Crust Roofing bought Hiram Police Dept a new Police Car, a few years ago!!
  10. I have dreamt of about five or six deaths in my family before it happened and yes, they ALL came true. Just didn't happen exactly like I had dreamed it would.
  11. I didn't care for that place. I DO NOT eat cold sandwiches. I did that day but, my #1 choice is Firehouse Subs (cost a little more and very much well worth it!!!) and Subway comes in second place!!
  12. For Warts, get a Snail and slather the slimey stuff on a wart and it will go away. One of my nieces, would get warts more than any person, I've ever heard of . This worked 99.9% of the time!!! When I was a tyke, no matter how slight I bumped my head, my nose would bleed, uncontrollably. The only thing that would make it stop would be to tear off a good size piece of a paper sack (thick grocery store quality) fold it up lengthwise and place it under my top lip and suck on it. YES, it worked!!! Nose bleeds run wild in my Family.!!
  13. Hope your BIRTHDAY was a HAPPY DAY!! Be Blessed!!
  14. I'm trying to figure out how I can print from my iPad and iPhone. I can locate my HP Printer on my devices but, it's asking me for a password. The only pw I know of is already associated with my wi-fi. Can anyone offer any suggestions?? tia
  15. I love me some Church's Chicken!!!! But, I refuse to eat Popeye's. Bojangles, I can tolerate. Church's in Douglasville had a makeover. I eat there, about 3 or 4 times a year. I can NOT eat any Fried Chicken (fast foods) without Jalopenos
  16. Helping Hands will be having another Produce & Fruits give-a-way. It's been the 3rd Tuesday of every month. But, always call the office to be sure. We don't know exactly what will be on the delivery truck. I ~need~ to............... go to bed obviously!! You must be 55 years of age and over. The workers will be checking id's. Please, if you know anyone in need, please give them the details!! Thank You and have a blessed day!

  19. This is why we have full coverage, un-insured, under-insured and Gap Insurance. I know we pay extra but, we can't re[place our vehicles, we've got too much invested in them!!
  20. This Dog has NOT been found. I was hoping the dog that was found and reunited with it's Family was Pebbles but, it wasn't. Please, still be on the look out for Pebbles. More than likely, she was found and that person is keeping the dog for their self!!! Also, the other dog, Jetson is a Mini Yorkie, he's still missing. If i recall right, he's 3 lbs. He's missing from the New Ga Ele Sch area. Please keep him in mind when you're out and about in the community. THANK YOU!!
  21. AWESOME!!! Now praying for Safe Return of "Jetson" who is missing from Mulberry Rock Rd. in New Ga.
  22. Oh I just hope and pray that it's this baby!! There is a mini Yorkie missing from New Ga, also. His name is Jetson. Let me see if I can get more details.
  23. We received the call as well. I had seen a picture, it appeared to be a Mini Pom or a Teacup Pom. I hope it's found safe and soon!!
