Me too, me too!! I thought it was something wrong with my engine, took it to the dealership and was told it might be the spark plugs. They moved them around and it worked fine until I filled up again and it started "sputtering" again, off and on. Could be the gas huh? Interesting.

I heard last night, from a pretty reliable source that another one of the children passed away. It was from someone who worked on the children at CHOA (thru a friend) I pray this is not right but it is a pretty reliable source. Can anyone confirm that knows??

The third could have been in "traumatic arrest" and they can not fly this type patient. Probably was taken to Paulding and they revived him then flew him to CHOA. Don't know for sure, but that is my experieince with these situations. If so, cudos to Paulding for doing a great job.!!

I can't give out my recipe for dill pickles because it is family recipe and would get slammed if I did so,but I do have one piece of advise for making/keeping the pickles crisp, ADD a pinch, and I mean just a pinch, of alum to each jar. Doesn't change the taste unless you use too much. You can find Alum in the spice section of grocery stores. Tractor Supply might carry it too. Good luck

Try Phoenix Air, they are located in Cartersvile Airport. They do many fixed wing flight with an RN and Paramedic. They might be able to provide the transport at a decent price or work out payment. Sorry, I don't have the number but if you call the Air Methods dispatch center (# given in above post) they can probable give it to you. Good luck.

A while back, when I was still on Life Flight, we had landed on the highway (only place to land)and were bringing the pt to the helicopter on a stretcher when (I was "in the lead") I saw this car coming around other cars stopped in the road, past several sheriiff's cars with light on and was heading right at us (tail of helicopter, me, EMS crew and pt). I started moving toward the car with my hands waving and yelling stop!!!!! (although she couldn't hear me) and finally when she got almost even with the helicopter (under the blades turning), she stopped, only because she couldn't go any furth

Going back just a few years...Paulding nostalgia...
wanie replied to subby1's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have been here 52 years (can't believe I'm that old), born and raised here. If you needed directions : people would say "you know where that dog died last year by the big oak tree? Well turn left there go to the ole Clonts place and take a right. A little piece further and you will be there. One red light No "major" grocery stores (and we did just fine) Tastee Freeze only fast food resteraunt, later the Dairy Queen Vaughns was the only sit down family resteraunt, and the food was great! Only fun for teenagers back then was going "mudding" at Blue car body, Ben Brown in -

I came 92 North to Dallas Hwy all the way to Marietta Square, made it just fine. As everyone is saying, take it easy, slow down where the trees block the sun, there is some ice still on the roads in Marietta but there are tracks to follow and you should do fine. Yes I was surprised to see how poor the roads where in Marietta compared to Paulding!! Good job PC

Well, interesting facts, but he kept getting further and further ahead of me (he pulled out about 3 car lengths ahead of me) and the only time I caught up was at stop signs and traffic lights because they were red or there was traffic he had to wait on before pulling out. I would be right behind him at a light, he would take off fast but would get further and futher away from me, I was doing the speep limit at this time just to see how quick he got further ahead, and it was seconds, not minuties.

Thank you, that was the question was posted for originally. So many minds, so many twist on what I asked. Interesting.

Thanks for all the input. I did not call it in. My brother is a police Leutinent in Dekalb County, so I do respect law enforcement and understand everything they endure, good and bad. Glad all have enjoyed this topic. The area the officer was speeding in is a very curvy road with limited visibility, it just scared me that he could round a curve at that speed and hit someone pulling out, there are people that do morning walks on this road as well. It was more about safety of others than "getting" a police officer. They are bound to uphold, respect and follow the laws as we all are. The

He wasn't, he pulled out just ahead of me, I was doing 40 in the 35 (I know, Iknow) but he got way ahead of me fast! I would catch up with him at stop signs and redlights.

On my way to work this morning and a cop was in front of me, we were on a road with posted 35 miles per hour limit, he was doing 50 plus! Not on a call, just going to work I presume. He stopped at all stop signs and lights so don't think he was going on a call. I have his unit/car number (5645) Smyrna Unit. Input on if I should call this in or what, heck they wouldn't hesitate to stop me for doing that speed on that road. What do you all think?? TIA

If the flight crew and rapid transport to a trauma center helps to save his life or reduce long term effects of injuries, then I would think the bill would not be that worrisome. JMO I hope they are prepared for that $10K bill..... -
Vernell, you were a very special lady and a great nurse to mentor myself after. I worked with you for 25 years and have known you even longer, you will truly be missed here on earth. I am a little jealous that God has you in his arms and we have to miss you here, but one day we will all rejoice together.

My opinion, the government (all of them) are liars!!! If this truly was a military exercise and they held it over/near a commercial airport then why in the He-- did they not notifiy the airport officials to close the airport for a short period or even better why didn't they hold the exercise somewhere else?? Raised a lot of questions for me. Does the government think we are a bunch of stupid idiotic uneducated fools out here running around believing everything they tell us??????? JMO

Lots of good stuff. Couches, coffee tables, Christmas Decorations, Indians decorations and much much more. Some items are antiques and are estate sale stuff. Directions: Off Hwy 92 between Macland Rd and Hwy 278, look for the signs. Across from Indian Lake Sub division. It is the driveway just before the Family Denistry Office on the right coming from 278 and it is just past the Dentis office on the left coming from Macland Rd area. Hope to see u there. Come early(sunrise) before the good stuff is gone.!!

Be aware that prednisone can temporarily keep you from having a fever, the area from swelling and you being able to have other symptoms. It can cover up the things you need to be looking for. Go to your doctor and demand blood work. I agree ER's are for more life threatening acute circumstances but sometimes they will work you over more than your primary care can or will. If you don't get better, go to the ER although I don't usually recommend it for something like this, this could turn into a life threatening situation!!
