It depends When different metals/chemicals burn they have different colored flames. A couple of years back while at the beach, one evening I just happened to be looking up and saw what I first thought was fireworks, but realized it was traveling too fast and too horizontal to be just gunpowder launched from the ground, however it did burn with several different colors as it traveled till it eventually burnt up. Yes it was one of those once in a lifetime events.

Seriously folks, I was hoping to get some input from someone who may know more about buying/selling gold.

I see signs and commercials all the time "WE BUY GOLD", I am curious where the "buyers" take their purchases from joe shmoe, to turn it into a profit. Who is the ultimate purchaser of gold? Would that not be the best place to sell your gold if you were wanting to get top dollar, by eliminating the gold buying middleman?
