Car Accident on Harmony Grove Church Rd this AM

You will never see an active traffic enforcement policy by a Sheriff. His job depends on voters, right? Move to a police force and you'll see more traffic laws enforced. The police chief is not employed by the voter but by the county commission that hires him/her. -
If my property tax bill is higher than last year have my property taxes increased?

I'm thinking that they will get off on a technicality. They may vote for the same millage rate, but if property values increase, you pay more in taxes, yet, technically, they did not vote to raise the tax. Based on the proposed tax increase notice, it is written like they have not choice but to have an increase based on state law. So, they will either decrease the budget or prepare their own date with the hang-man.

I wonder how many houses went on the market yesterday?

I had decent care with Kaiser that I could afford as an individual. Then the ACA made that price go so high that I had to go on company sponsored, crappy insurance. I can only "hope" that I have a little "change" at the end of this 8 year wrecking period thrust upon us by Oboma and congress.

Saw this on the PCSO facebook page. haha - when I travel I personally don't like to stay in any floor above the 4th for the exact reason you brought up. The FD has improved 300% since I moved here in 2000 when a single man was stationed at #6 and it took Clarks 40 minutes to reach my home in NE Paulding. Now we have more stations, equipment and firefighters that will be there when we need them. While it will still be many more years before the fire department looks like Cobb (assuming growth isn't stifled) I am pleased with the improvements all of the employees of the department have worked for. Improved ISO ratings me -

Off the top of my head truck 13 (on dallas highway near the county line) would be the closest to the paulding hospital. There are many factors that would have to come into play in order to trap someone on the top floor. There are multiple exits. I am not arguing that we do not need better/more equipment just that the example you provide is a very remote use case. -

Other fire department capital asset purchases (F250 battalion truck) are shown as SPLOST expenditures so an additional/replacment ladder truck is a matter of what the department is making priorities. LR, being a newly built building the hospital has advanced fire suppression capabilities and certainly area counties and agencies would render aid with additional ladder trucks if needed. I remember 10 years ago the ladder truck rolled to every structure fire. I guess the FD realized this was not a good use of the asset and it went to being staged until its need was really determined. $500 fine for man seen on video scaring dog with fireworks
FreeBird replied to Lady Raider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The guy had his day in court and faced the consequences. Shouldn't we be more concerned with the lack of meaningful punishment for the actions? Will a $500 fine deter other similar actions in the future? I SAY GIVE HIM LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE! -

This is a picture to come if economic development is stifled by the stooges on the commission. The only well left to draw on will be the property owners through increases like this.

I was thinking about the freedoms I enjoy living in America Josh came to mind. While the upcoming holiday is not supposed to be when we remember our fallen - they are deserve a thought because their sacrifices help maintain the freedom we all enjoy today. Found this video remembering Josh and thought I would share:
