Possible Uses for Seven Hills Extension
FreeBird replied to mdbailey's topic in Paulding County NEWS
My church thought of purchasing land in the area, but the county seems to not want "non tax producing" enterprises in the area. Thanks King Austin. So, my suggestion is a large church with private school, and an athletic program to serve the community. Or YMCA branch. -

Looks like Fire Station #11 is bidding again
FreeBird replied to feelip's topic in Paulding County NEWS
The guy doesn't seem to be too bright. He was trying to make a case that the FD and DPS didn't know anything about the station and what it was being built to handle. It was old to Graham that there would be a ladder truck and he tried to make a case that there was an issue since it was a two bay station. Paulding station 1 is dual bay and has a rescue, ladder, engine and battalion commander vehicle. -
GETTING HIGH FOR FOOD - Scouting For Food Project

Pastor Ken looked like he was having way toooo much fun! -
before I'd put $200 into that saw, I'd get a stihl! $360 for a MS-290 and it will last 40 years.
-
That doesn't seem like too bad of a price - $60-70 for the part and $40-50 for the labor.
-
It it is a Sthil saw, then parts are pretty expensive.

GETTING HIGH FOR FOOD - Scouting For Food Project

Looks like heavy rain in store for today. Glad you made it overnight without issues. I'll try to stop by today for a visit. Do you need me to bring anything? -
I certainly love my Lawnboy 2 cycle mower - no carb to full with. You have to wonder how someone can sleep at night ripping a "customer" off like that. I guess it is just a way of life for them and the conscience has been dulled.

Looks like Fire Station #11 is bidding again

Feelip, I hope you can explain to Tommie Graham that a two bay station can house a rescue, engine and ladder truck. He couldn't seem to get that one last year. -

Pcom News interview with former Chairman Jerry Shearin
FreeBird replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Seems like the video started while the interview was already in progress. Did Jerry speak about fire station 11 and why it was stonewalled all last year? Did Jerry mention what he is doing now? An interesting report - thanks for setting it up. -

I'm thinking the new airport was poured, not paved, and remember that the federal gub-ment paid for most of it. -
stations 8 and 3 responding engine 8 in the area - attempting to locate eng 8 to eng 3 - last house on the road E8 reports nothing showing - Stoker command established eng 8 to 3 -stage at your location - eng 3 staged at cedarcrest and stoker rd batt 1 downgrading response (this was probably on of the loudest strikes I have ever heard - I' 6 miles from the area.) eng 8 checked residence - nothing found - release all units, eng 8 in service. Batt 1 asking eng 8 to contact him. batt on scene - requests E8 be held committed to this call until further

Oscar, very nice work - you are very talented!

no - didn't catch anything else - must not have been too bad if a chopper was called, then they would have toned out an engine from another station to respond to LZ, but I guess they could have used the parking lot of the shopping center right there. I normally hear the chopper call the the LZ as they approach - didn't hear any of this for this call.
