  1. OK so I have tried on several occasions to quit smoking with alot of failure. Today I went to the Doc and for the second time in a year I have Bronchitis. After a good couple of shots in the rear I ask the doc about Chantix. She had lots of good stuff to say so I took the prescription and went and had it filled. I will start first thing in the AM.

Anyone that has experience with it I welcome all suggestions as to how to make it a success this time instead of just another attempt.

    Wish me luck.

  2. So let me see if I understand this correctly- It has been about 8 months since the death of the loved one. No one in the will has been asked to sign anything. Does this mean that either 1. the execator has not probated the will as of yet or 2. the execator has told the probate court that we refuse to sign the petition?

  3. How long does it take to probate a will? What is the average time frame for this to be done. If you were mentioned in the will are you provided with a copy of the will?

If the will is not protested how long after you have filed the paper work is it that the assets are disbursed?

I would appreicate any help someone might have to offer.

What if after the will has been probated the executor does not distribute the inheritance that was suppose to come to you?

  4. I think we should drill and explore and use the oil resources we have in this country while we work to transition to alternative energies. We could affect the price of oil and oil futures relatively quickly by announcing new exploration. That affects the world oil supply which is the key factor we are fighting. We have tied our own hands in using our own resources; no wonder we're hurting. If your household faced a need and you chose not to use your resources, then you would find yourself painfully dependent on the resources and whims of others.

Blaming the crisis on President Bush and "oil buddies" is simplistic at best but will play well among those who have bought into the fashionable but imprecise conventional "wisdom.". Clinton vetoed a bill that would have allowed us to have had more control in the global oil market in 1995. The senate failed to get 60 votes when it came up again. We've had multiple opportunities to take action on this issue and have caved every time.

If the oil companies are making too much, please remember that the profit margin on oil is less than the margin made by most small businesses. Will you also tell them how much they are allowed to make per dollar they apend? Who gets to decide the acceptable profit margin for businesses in this country? Maxine Waters, who wants to socialize/nationalize the oil industry?

It is myopic and inaccurate to oversimplify this crisis to feed one's fetish for Bush-bashing.

Wake up people. At the very least turn on Herman Cain's show once in a while and get some basic, well-explained understanding of how the economy actually works instead of just saying "It's Bush's fault" and going on with your day. My gripe with Bush is a failure to lead us toward a strategic, comprehenive energy plan; likewise, the democrats in Congress have consistently obstructed legislation that would have helped us avoid the current circumstance. There's a lot more to the picture than US partisan blame games, though, and the sooner we realize that the sooner we can actually do something to address our immediate oil supply needs and our longer term vision of alternative energy resource development.

    THANK YOU!!!!!

    Very well said.

  5. Thanks guys. There used to be a commerce member on here that sold new and used tires.

These tires I'm looking for are going on a mud truck, I'm not really looking for new ones but some good used ones.

This is the mother of Ty Pennington from Trading Spaces. I can tell you that she has done wonders for my friend's son. She believes in using many different techniques that steer away from medicine.

Thank you I will look into her.

  7. My son has been in counseling for most of his life. He has been told he has ADD, ADHD, ODD, and the list could go on. We finally were told he has Bi-Polar. With that said we have not made any progress with the doctor that he is seeing.

I am wondering if anyone else has any recommendations for a doc in the area.

    We need help BAD!

  8. Although I do wish that uniforms were required in school I don't think it would take the pressure off to have the "name brand" cloths that only the "popular" or "wealthy" kids wear.

If you created the standard kahaki pants and golf style shirt you would still have those that purchased them at Wal-Mart and those that purchased them at Abercrombie.

Even with all that said I am still in favor of the uniforms. When you and I go to work we are expected to dress to a certain standard. Like I tell my kids all the time their job is to go to school- they should be expected to dress to a certain standard.

Keep a check on what Polk County is doing now. There school board is considering uniforms for next year!

  9. Try putting a litte automatic dishwashing detergent in your wash. I have been in the food industry for a loooong time and that is what we put in our wash to rid aprons and stuff of all of the odors that fabrics collect.

  10. My son's all time favorite movie is Smokey and the Bandit. The other day he ask me if I would help him find the soundtrack. I told him no problem- apparently it is!

I can't find it anywhere. Amazon has a used one listed for $35.00 :o

Surely it's not that big of a classic. Any suggestions?

  11. My son is a big outdoors man and when he graduated we wanted to get him something he would always have. We bought him a new hunting rifle, something I know he will never part with unless perhaps he passes it along to his son or daughter when they graduate.

  12. I have often wondered why service stations have not started allowing you to insert cash to pump gas. We can do this at automatic car washes, you can buy lottery tickets this way, and of course there are those pesky little things called candy machines.... Seems to me that someone should have come up with the idea by now.

  13. During the breeding season it is against the law to remove the bats from your attic. There are some good companies out there that do that type of work. There is one that I know of that you DO NOT want to call. I will PM you with the name of that company.

  14. I just want to bump this back to the top.

I have know Courtney's parents since my early childhood. These are some great people and could use a little help from all of the pcom family. If anyone has any other ideas on fund raising to help this family please throw out some ideas. I am sure they would greatly appreciate it.
