Someone gave me a 5 port gigabit Ethernet switch and I don't really know what the purpose of it is. I have DSL and have a wireless router. Does the Ethernet switch take the place of my wifi router? Mrs. Creech Demby taught at Hiram Elementary for many many years. You would know her by Mrs. Creech. She was a 3rd grade teacher and was one of the greatest inspirations in my education life. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Becky Creech Demby passed away this morning. This past year she had been undergoing treatment for cancer, and was doing very well. She was in the hospital with an unrelated issue with her colon. This was completely unexpected. The funeral will be Saturday at McEachern Methodist with visitation at 10:00 and the funeral at 11:00.

My kids both received a Visual Land Prestige 7 Android Tablet. The amazon app store worked yesterday, now it will only stay a black screen. Any suggestions? I called AT&T about my bill b/c I was charged for long distance when I don't have long distance service. They informed me that I was charged because I don't have a long distance provider. Then she informed me that they will no longer be offering DSL in these area but for another few months and everyone will have to go to UVerse if they want to keep internet service with AT&T. and right now they will waive the fee for the modem and for the activation fee, which is $136. I don't know what I should do. Should I switch to UVerse or find another internet carrier? Please help!!!!!!

A very dear childhood friend of mine passed away last night at the age of 33. He was married and a Shriner, but he was so much more than just that. He was a good man that many of us grew up laughing with and sharing memories with and he is missed and loved by many. I just ask that you say a prayer for his family and friends during this very hard time. Thank you very much!

I thought it made your credit card void if you do not sign the signature slip. Is this true? I thought you had to sign it before the card could be used. I have signed mine and wrote see ID on it also.

My family owned this restaurant when it was Harmon's. My granny and pawpaw bought it in 1970 when it was Dairy Quik and changed the name to Harmon's in 1973. That was my pawpaw's last name and all of my aunts and my mom worked there. This is also where my mom and dad met in 1976 right before the family sold it. It has changed owners many times, but stayed Harmon's until about 10 years ago. It is very sad to know that the building is a total lost, but the memories will always live on. QOTSA, the buck burger is when it was Harmon's Restaurant.

I know that there are times if you mess up on something like EIC that the IRS will correct it and make the correct adjustment to your return, but if you forgot to claim or didn't know that you could claim the Make Work Pay Credit, will the IRS correct it or will you have to file an amended return? I am thinking you will have to file an amended form b/c you didn't file the Schedule M for the credit and the IRS isn't going to do the form for you. Any takes on this? Thanks!

When my husband and I were first married, he was 17 and I was 18 and needless to say we were BROKE!!! He wrote me little love notes telling me that I was the best, he loved me, I was beautiful, I would always be his Valentine: little notes like that and left them ALL over the house and in the car. I was still finding notes weeks later. Those notes meant the world to me and I still have them and they are in a scrapbook. We have been married for 12 years now and he still leaves me love notes to this day! Nothing is better than words from his heart!

Please let the family know that all of the kids at the kids' program at church prayed for them and their dad and mom and then we had a large group prayer for this family. Please let them know that their church family is behind them and prayer continually for them.

Okay, just got off the phone with the water department and she said that they are cutting off the water where a main water pipe has broke. There are about 10 main water lines that are broke in the county and they are cutting them off as they are able to get to them if they are able to get down the road. She couldn't tell me where the 10 water lines that are broke are though.
