  1. I get that, but it is the same information and nothing new all day until 11pm.
  2. Guess how many times I have seen that interview. I will give you hint, its over 15. You guys will hear a lot more of these stories if the guvinator gets his way and releases 27,000 prisoners early.
  3. Are you sure this isn't the eldest son's new wife? I heard she was pregnant.
  4. Gilroy is the Garlic capital of the world and damn it smells so good when you drive through it.
  5. Thank you PT. The most dangerous one thankfully is over 400 miles away. However, since you are a religious person please pray for those that are affected, the ones who have died and their families, and those who have had to evacuate. If I knew how to fight fires, I would be down there helping to put it out as the hills are gorgeous even when they are brown .
  6. I am alive, however there is a wild fire less than 100 miles from me outside of Gilroy. Not sure if the one near Livermore has been put out and then there is another one near Sacramento. None pose any threat to me as I am in the heart of the South Bay. I just gave up on the political forum and have made the decision to no longer reply or deal with it. I have far more important things to do. Thank you for the concern though.
  7. I started working on a new digital illustration. It will not be done for some time.
  8. When my brother went through he was really stupid (I still love him though) and a huge trouble maker. When I went through all the teachers expected the same and of all of them only 2 still thought I was my brother (one thought I was a trouble maker cause I wanted to read Beowulf in old english). I was not a trouble maker and I made good grades.
  9. In the infamous words of Austin Powers..."It's a man, baby."
  10. Too late, all ready graduated and I do not believe people give non-students internships.
  11. Personally, I love Walter from Jeff Dunham. "Get Yer Sh1t and Git out." For this reason, I should not, but it is a job.
  12. That is what I am doing. Good news is my husband has a good job. I am beginning to think I might as well go apply to the local walmart, just so I have something to do.
  13. Can you answer my question of why businesses want 5-10 years experience for entry level positions.
  14. Sok. I am trying to be one. I also am trying to do textbook writing, research, something that I am already prepared for. I am also branching back into my art and working on trying to do freelance there too. However, I don't know know why everyone wants 5-10 years experience for entry-level positions. Those are the ones I am applying for. How does one get experience if no one will hire them?
  15. I am married to one. So I speak a few different languages.
  16. Maybe it is just the computer engineering field then. Computer engineers speak a totally different language and it is hard for them to convey what the heck they are thinking. There are plenty of technical writing jobs, they just wnat 5-10 years experience. However, this goes for all jobs, how does one get experience if no one will hire you?
  17. Technical writing does not require an engineering degree. We are the people that make it so other people can understand engineers. We write the help documents, the assembly documents, the descriptions, and more. Teacher was when I was still in georgia. Did you forget I had to move? When I did, I was not allowed to do a teacher credential since it is vastly different out here to obtain one. As such, I moved History Ed into just History.
  18. First of all, you guys are misinformed about History degrees. A history degree prepares you for many fields that use research, analyzing, interviewing, investigating, and writing. I am trying to get a Technical writing job which works with computer engineers and in that industry. Also, many of my friends who did get engineering degrees, computer science degrees and so forth can't get jobs because they have no experience, where do they lay in the grand scheme of things? Actually, most of my friends cannot get jobs cause they have no experience and are fresh out of school.
  19. Again where are you getting this information that they are hiring right out of school? I just graduated this June, and I cannot get job for the life of me. All the jobs want 5-10 years experience and they won't even look at you if you don't have that. I have resigned myself to the fact that I will be putting out hundreds of resumes a week for at least a year and not obtain a job and have taken to trying to get into more than one field such as going back to my art and trying to do freelance. Who are these companies so I can get a job? Cause I have not found a job willing to hire fresh-out
  20. Ok, seriously where are you getting this information that they are hiring right out of school? I just graduated this June, and I cannot get job for the life of me. All the jobs want 5-10 years experience and they won't even look at you if you don't have that. I have resigned myself to the fact that I will be putting out hundreds of resumes a week for at least a year and not obtain a job and have taken to trying to get into more than one field such as going back to my art and trying to do freelance.
  21. Me either, I am watching Family Guy. Adam West is reading to kindergartners.
  22. Why are you guys even watching this train wreck? I am sure there are better things on TV to watch.
