  1. OK, Obama is President. We still have a severely divided Congress. When do they go back to work? I'm watching the stock market and it's down 350, when are they back in session to make some decisions?
  2. I'm moving to a high deductible plan next year, as my out of pocket expenses this year will be $25,000! (Premiums and out of pocket). I'm actually starting to think socialized medicine might be worth it. Sure, I'm a dead man if I get cancer, but...
  3. Snooping on my husband would require time that I simply don't have.
  4. She should be dead, because she should have jumped in the effing exhibit after her child. If my child was being attacked by anything, you better believe that I would be right there in the middle of it.
  5. We're getting our Christmas card photos done next week (yes, we're using a pcom photog!), can anyone suggest some nice locations? Is Picketts Mill a good place?
  6. HOney Boo Boo is on RHOBH!!!! I kid you not! She goes to Lisa's restaurant. With Giggy
  7. Confessions of a pregnant woman: Having another human being moving around inside of your stomach is a really mind blowing experience. I'm sure that all you moms will say it's beautiful, and God's work, and all that other crap...but, it's flipping freaky and I'm really not sure how I feel about it. I am seriously waiting for my stuff to rip open like Alien. Maybe because it's my second child, and I'm older and more cerebral, but when I look at my growing stomach and think, "there is a human being inside there", I get the heebs. Surely this qualifies me for some 'bad incubator' award.
  8. They're going to give her her OWN show!!!!!!
  9. I just don't remember Joe being SO guido in years past. Rich is pervy, he's just an odd person all together. Caroline is probably just tired of it. And of course Melissa was a stripper, and if she had any sense, she would have admitted that early and not given that little fact so much power.
  10. I'm watching the last part of the reunion show..this group of people have gotten really, really bad. What happened to Joe? Is he on drugs? And Theresa. I think that they need to step OFF this show and try and get their life back on track. I'm sure Joe has always been a dirtbag, but they need to get back to their version of normal. First season normal. I really like Kathy, I wonder if there are truths to the divorce rumors.
  11. If in fact she is truthful in her claims, she should be compensated. I'm not sure if our punitive caps will apply in this case. Since she was blacking out windows to insulate her home, I'm sure even $300,000K would significantly improve the condition. I'll be anxious to see what is reported.
  12. Yes. I have several twitter accounts, but no personal accounts. I tweet about things in my professional ecosystem.
  13. I'm not judging. I don't know. I'm actually very sorry for your loss, and I'm not exonerating the police at all. They're rednecks, too. It's a side effect of living in place like Paulding county - not a whole lot of "real" crime, so you get some overzelous and bored police officers. Here's the piece of this story that I'm struggling with...if my husband was 150% innocent, I would have my mug on every news outlet that would take me - and Nancy Grace - telling the world that my husband was MURDERED by the police. Your story didn't even make the front page of the AJC. It's curious, that's al
  14. Now that right thar was HILARIOUS. I like this new person.
  15. http://abcnews.go.com/US/whitney-heichel-police-search-wooded-area-missing-oregon/story?id=17505121#.UIE7ixht3jA I just heard about this story. I saw the husband try to make a plea. Will this be yet ANOTHER spousal abduction?
  16. The Netherlands has some positive, albeit anecdotal solutions that have shown interesting results.
  17. I had this conversation with my husband last night. I also believe that the war on drugs has been America's biggest boondoggle. It's cost us billions of dollars and had little if any effect on slowing the drug trade. On use: The Global Commission on Drug Policy reported that between 1998 and 2008, global use of opiates increased 34.5 percent, cocaine 27 percent, and cannabis 8.5 percent. ON incarceration: In 2011, 50.8 percent of Federal inmates are incarcerated for drug offenses. This compares to just 4.2 percent for robbery, 2.7 percent for homicide/assault/kidnapping, and 4.7 pe
  18. Drug activity was reported - enough to actually get a search warrant. Then we have this: Danny Hammett served a little more than two years in prison for methamphetamine and marijuana possession in the late 1990s. And, we have evidence of trafficking, which likely means individual sale baggies (no, not the kind you can buy at Publix), scales, money, etc. The windows, suspicious, but also fairly common among rednecks. And not needed, according to maps the house is completely obstructed by brush and trees. Who knows, tragic.
  19. This is tragic...but someone's going to be able to get the heck out of Paulding county! Queue the track, "Movin on Up"...
  20. Tragic. Sorry to hear that this ended so badly. I respect the right to own fire arms, but Lord, the Wild West mentality causes so much harm. Trevon Martin, this... Why can't guns be a last resort, instead of a first?
  21. You still need to be in an HSA, not a Flex account.
  22. I must be the only person that hates Vegas...and I got married there!
