If It had not been because of work my last one would not have gone to pre-K. Heck it's just a matter of time until the kids will be "required" to go to pre-K. There was a time not so long ago that kids weren't "required" to go to school until they turned 6. I understand that the kids are now "required" to go to kindergarten.

Our youngest has a very late August birthday. We ended up holding him back in 1st grade. Oldest son has a November birthday, we still held him back in 1st grade. Best thing we did for both of them. Our daughter has a Nov birthday. She stayed on track. When they do start school, know that you don't HAVE to give their SS# and you don't HAVE to have all of the vaccines.
