Hey can we keep it if we didn't hit it? There was a possum DOR on the way home, I was thinkin possosm stew.
-
Oh I don't know...might make your fat with all that cheese and bread.
-
Nope, did do the carney thing for a short time. We had a blast. First time I ever saw a bufflo up close. Do you know how big their heads are? It was pretty cool. No you won't use calacus, trig, or some of the other "higher" maths doing that. They did learn to add, subtract, multipliy, and devide. They can also make change without pressing the buttons. They can also count back the change to you. By the time my kids were ready for that they were in regular school. They both read the "Hobbit" books before they were 10. Many of the books that were on the required reading list for HS they had read

I got to thinking about this and I came to realize that I am definitely home schooling DS next year. My 2 oldest were basically home schooled because we moved around a lot when they were younger. When we did settle down and put them in "regular" school they were far ahead of the other kids. They know more about our history then most teachers. They learned math by helping out in a fair. They learned about many cultures because of the different places we went. Yep, I'll be home schooling next year. I might even send in all the paper work if I get around to it. I'm done.

yep, not one of my pitchers would ever wear one. My son is in that group. BTW Irish, the pitchers circle is 46' from the back of the home plate.(page 52 DD rule book) 9/10 yr old pitching distance is 46'. (page 63 DD rule book) Your coach pitcher should be even with the mound when standing in the pitchers circle. He should not be any closer then that. It's a good thing the coaches are pitching fast balls. Kids can't track slow ones. There is a study that was done on this about 3 years ago and I found it interesting because of the difference in the boys hitting one coaches pitch over a

It's a new rule for this year. If your child feels safer and you feel better for it, go for it. But being old school, I feel some times parents take things too far. To each his own.
-
Yep I could do it today but not tomarrow. Got lots of stuff to do. I need to go on to bed. Good night/morning
-
Not to bad. I didn't get a dern thing done. Well I did get two ball games rescheduled and a few e-mails sent. Other then that I was pretty dang lazy today.
-
Your gitten a jump on things ain't ya?
-
Unless your child is playing up at 6-8 they should still be in coach pitch and standing on one or the other side of the circle. Not likely to get hit with a line drive at that age. 9/10 is a whole different animal though and there's no way to get a 9/10 year old to were a face mask.

Well either way, we're prepared. Right now DS swings a composit bat and we have about 8 wooden ones in the garage. So which ever ones he wants to go with I guess we got this covered.
-
OK I want the wave. That is just to cute and funny. The bouncy ones not so much. I think this is the first time I've made the list woohoo So are all the p'commers moving to Savannah? I miss HHS and Tonto.
-
I've been thinking about getting my kids to use wood. I'm not sure how that will go over with the parents.
-
And that is why all my pitcures go to pitching lessons with a pro. I am more concerned with them staying healthy so they can continue to play ball as long as they want. I looked at the videos and I wouldn't use them for my 9/10 year olds. Too much rotor cup movement. The weights he uses in his wrist weight program are to heavy and I just am not that impressed.
-
Thanks now I get to worry about my kid. Nah not really. Can we say oooowwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeee. It's going to take a couple of days to get over the head ache.
-
That would be awesome!!!
-
Ah now that's interesting. Could you "nudge" the pollsters to do that. Seven days is plenty time for these things.
-
See I knew you would enjoy that too much
-
Yes, I voted in this one and I say 7 days is long enough. I can enjoy a poll every once in a while. So this one will be closed in 7 days right? You know I just had to go there.
-
I was trying to be nice. No need to get snarky. After a week of seeing the polls bumped up overnight. All you have to do is look at the lat time someone posted/ voted to see that it seems like there are some out there that just want to bring the same poll up time after time. And as already pointed out some do it just to aggravate. I wasn't even talking about your contest. I can see how you are a bit touchy about this, but it has nothing to do with you. There are some polls where the topic obviously has been beaten to death and IMHO should be closed. After a certain correspondence it i
-
The funny thing is your contest wasn't even in the 13 orginal ones that I vented about. We also know that yours is a time limit. These others are not.
-
And they really should have a termination time. Leaving a poll open for months is ridiculous. I still also think a separate forum or subforum for these things would be good. Kinda like a news paper or magazine has all the comics and games in one section.
-
At least there are only 9 (well to be fair 8 one of them is closed) polls on the front page right now.
-
I'm starting to feel picked on....naw not really. I'm feeling the love. Ya'll gotta admit that so many polls really is quite irratating.
-
Once I get mine fixed I'll let you know. If your old like me and keeping up with a 10 yr old it won't matter how much it cost.
