  1. Not sure if everyone is aware of it or not, but I just noted that Comcast is giving 2-Gb of backups for those that want to use it and have a Comcast account. This is the info link http://support.comcastvault.net/ Register for service: http://support.comca...o_register.html Just some FYI info...
  2. Double ditto... Thanks for all the effort....
  3. See links http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/04/19/iphone-4g-rumor-leaked-picture/ http://www.foxnews.com/slideshow/scitech/2010/04/19/apples-new-iphone-discovered/?slide=1
  4. It is just like alcohol for the most part. Tax it and make it legal and take a ton of money from the drug dealers. It is just like alcohol was and now the country makes tons of money on it. Did prohibition save lives maybe, but we do know that about 170,000 people die of alcohol (driving) related deaths a year and who knows how many more from non driving alcohol deaths. And then all the alcohol related incidents related to crimes and abuse. I say legalize it and tax it and regulate it. Think of the money it would bring in....
  5. i would bet it was state farm... dropped them 2 years ago from that hail storm.... got Allstate.... fair honest and i will not change...
  6. Well he should cover his part as should you. It takes two to tango... Go to court be done with it and go on with your lives. I gather you get support for the other kid too, so you should be familiar with the process.... I will hold my tongue on my other thoughts.
  7. No W in N A V Y E A G L E LOL Were you looking for a 6 foot tall pink flamingo though?

  9. Found this... http://en.wikipedia....States_by_state Then this one... http://en.wikipedia....05_3-9-2006.GIF Sunday bans by state Open container laws.... HUMM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Open_container_map_2006.gif
  10. I don't care either way, but it is a southern thing and the party in office has reneged on his word on more then a few times. They have their own agenda and are in the drivers seat. Once he is out and someone more towards the middle is in office there will not be any Sunday sales. It is pure politics Just like the Airport and a few other items in Paulding county.... It is who you know, not what you know.
  11. How about a large mirror with a tv built right in? http://www.trendir.c...-tv-closeup.jpg
  12. I say play on.... I am in if we go for it.... Otherwise I want a Check... kidding...
  13. The sound from the A7, F15 , F18 and other aircraft was so loud you had to stop talking and wait for them to fly by and then start talking again. This was while having a smoke break or while I live in base housing. It was always very loud.... We were in the flight path all the time. Now when I lived about 5 miles away out in town we were not in the flight path and we would see the planes, but no noise. It all depends on where you live in relation to the flight path. People around NAS Atlanta would always complain on the weekends. I always told them that they should not have moved in to
  14. option one is more modern... option two is very dated go with option one
  15. I am just saying you will not win any battle other then a small victory from now until when ever. It is not really possible to get the place turned back to a tree farm per se. So your best bet is to move and or just deal with it. You will just continue to be activated over something that will only get worse over time. Good luck, but you will most likely not get anywhere in the long run. Do you really think they will plow the runway under? You are one of the very few that will enjoy a airport. I lived next to one in Cecil field Jacksonville, Fl. I lost most of my heari
  16. The noise you hear from a military aircraft is the sound of freedom. Now, my point of view is.... if you continue to live near an airport you need to live with the sounds of an airport. The time to make waves and piss and moan and drive the airport to another site is long gone and now you just need to deal with it. The land near an airport is only going to go in one direction (down) as a home.. a business is different. Sell now or soon and move on and to the buyers... deal with the sounds... I used to love to hear about people in the area around NAS Atlanta complain..
  17. put me in for whatever we do..... i will stop by... tomorrow with my donation......
  18. Hey wait a blain minute... Have you seen the women of Walmart, Kmart and Sams? I would have to gouge my eyes out if that happen in my neighborhood... There are a few exceptions ...
  19. Not pointing fingers, but there is a rice rocket that comes from that part of Old Cartersville that comes flying down the road on a regular basis. Not saying it is this person, but with the curves on Old Cartersville it is not a safe road for a bike to begin with. Too many blind spots for a bike to hard to see from a car. I wish him well. I am not a big fan of bikes either...
  20. Dvd's will not go dead after 5 years, but they do degrade like old movie film per se... it was once thought dvd's would last 25-50years, but now the really don't know how long... my guess is 5-10 years. It is the film you write on with a marker (the other side) is where (basically) your dvd data is stored. That is why you don't write on a dvd with a hard tipped pen. No one really is sure how long a dvd will last in a safe or drawer, but open to the sun , I am sure will reduce the life of a dvd faster. Now how many have had their house burn down and lost their computer (burned to a crisp)?
  21. Well if you know the world today and the security of most files are very secure. But I just see paying someone else for a once in a million shot of a house fire, and stolen computer. That is you choice and they might be very secure. I am just noting there are cheaper ways to do that same thing. Plus you don't know if they are snooping on your files etc. )Most IT folks don't care one way or another about any files on their servers other then they are intact and recoverable). Plus I really would not law enforcement sensitive material on a home or non government computer. There are choic
  22. All I can is that they most likely work... but are a total waste of money. Buy a usb external drive for about $50-$100 and back your stuff up to it on a regular basis. Create a folder for each backup month or year. Keep multiple copies of files. But , burn the most valuable to dvd. Do you think your stuff online is not viewable by others? It might be a bit secure, but I would rather the dvd or hard drive be sitting in my desk draw or closet or safe. I have most likely 3 or four copies of critical files. I do run a server with a mirror drive and external backup and burn to dvd any
  23. Some people will not admit to or believe in any good news until a republican gets in office. And will complain for the next 5 years after that blaming the Democraps for all that is bad. Some people I think just live to complain.... Pretty sad life at that .... I for one think we are turning a corner and believe it will take a ton of spending on the governments part to keep the ship moving.... Letting it stall is just plain stupid and the government knows it. (some folks on here don't though) I think the last depression they (the government) had to do something similar and the
  24. I think the only way to remove it is going to be dig it out and or. cut it to ground height and use a lot of grass killer for a few weeks. I cut mine back and it comes back looking good and it is nearly 10 foot tall. I do hate the sharp saw type grass blades though. Cut the sheeze out of me this year cleaning it up. Looks like I went to battle with it an lost pretty badly (legs, arms pretty nasty cuts)
  25. Take care brother we have the watch covered for you now. RIP....
