No actually going to get a boat at the Navy rec center tomorrow. Take the dog to get a cut, Go get a framing nailer in Dalton (there abouts) and do some shopping. Doing my laundry tonight to get it done for the weekend. Still need some time to relax and hope the lake run is the ticket. I need some brain relaxation... my email migration has gone over like a ton of bricks dumped on my desk. And I have about another months of this....

That is a dangerous intersection that really should have a light or something.

Quick question.... Are they worth the drive? Are the rooms reasonable? Which one would you suggest as the best to go to? Looking to get aways for the weekend... This weekend....

They are very friendly folks at that store... good people and decent prices too. __________________________________________________ They are my close to the house go to store when I don't want to deal with the Hiram crazies. (Would be nice if they did something with the roads out in Hiram>>>> wider) -
This is great news... the last of the three Navy Seals were cleared of all charges. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/05/06/navy-seal-guilty-assaulting-suspected-terrorist/ I love it perfect justice for them.... How the heck the O's could prosecute them is beyond me. I love it that it also makes the prosecutor look bad. Now they can get on with their lives.... Go Navy

Keep it simple.... 10% cut across the board to all areas and pay... Everyone feels the cuts equally and fairly. 4-day weeks is not what I want to see. It puts kids at home more and more likely to get in trouble. There are a lot of good ideas above too. I think cutting a lot of the extra construction projects and repaving of parking lots and landscaping was a major waste of money. EPH did not need all that work and a new gym too. Thats what we need to keep in mind when we vote later this year too. I would bet if they cut the cr*p out it would be very easy to balance the b

The price of oil per barrel has jumped to almost $86 (from what I have seen) and now it is at $78... looks like the speculators are running around the oil market again. We are in for a heck of a ride this summer. http://www.oil-price.net/ I can't wait until reasonable priced all electric cars (for commuting) are available. This will put a balance into the market

Oh I think gambling is coming to Georgia. It will be like the other states with one or two casinos. Casinos are too much of a free money basket that they will find a way into the state. It is like any other taboo... make it legal and tax the cr*p out of it and tell the people the money will be used for a good cause (including raising their salaries).

Teachers' Group Opposes Ga. Bid For Federal Money
OldGoat99 replied to onekidmom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I liken our ratings to the good old boy club as being alive an kicking well in the south. we can always move to 49th or 50th place. Something needs to be done with the current way our kids are getting an education in or state. The current way is not working and a change is needed. Being in almost last place speaks loudly that something is not right and is not working. -
Woman in Easter Day hit-and-run crash turns down plea deal
OldGoat99 replied to MillCreek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Figure the odds.... Plead to 50 and you get 50 = life in jail maybe out in 30+ years Go to trial and maybe get a lighter sentence.... Its a dice roll that the city with lack of money will most likely go for a lighter sentence. That is why many guilty folks take the trail chance. It leaves a possible chance of freedom where as there is little chance other wise. I would go to trial if I was her... She will still get a ton of time, but I would bet less then 50 and closer to 20-25 and out in 15. Just my thoughts on how it will play out. I still hold out hope for life w -

I hope she spends the rest of her life in jail. But it makes sense to take a jury trial and have a shot at freedom where as 50-years is not much of a shot at all. The cost etc would cause the state to think about a shorter sentence. I still think she should do life in jail. Too many lives lost and then hiding it etc. You don't get a slide for those actions. If she stopped and helped then maybe something. -
Can you tell a difference? -Speaker cables
OldGoat99 replied to afriendlygeek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I tend to agree that for the most part with regards to cables alone that the differences would be marginal at best. But speakers are a different animal and can make a difference when going from the ultra cheap to reasonable priced. I am tone deaf my self, but can tell a cheap speaker from a decent one. But don't see the need for spending over $100 for some decent speakers. -
i am sorry i have a touch of gas tonight... let me get my gasex

The only one I thought was a decent idea was the bald guy (So he looks like he has hair). The rest are totally nuts and even scary to think they are allowed to breed too.

I recently took my washer off the septic tank also. Mine and everyone will have something slightly different. I am lucky that I have plenty of land behind my home and let the water drain from the house to a large pit (3'x3'x6' filled with rock) and then out threw the yard via 120-ft of drain pipe. It then drains to a field area that is over grown and is doing very well with the extra water now. The goal should be to get the water away from the house and to an area that can handle the extra water. If you have houses all around you that would be very hard. Good luck and my tank is much happ

I thought it was a bit odd at first and then thought what the heck it is what they wanted and so be it. To each his or her own... I had a cold beer at my dads placement at sea and dropped an open one in the water for him... and drank mine and talked about fond memories about him with my brother as we sipped a cold one. A bit different but oh well
