  1. We checked you out yesterday. Had to see that spiral tree in action. I think our display just might have to incorporate one for 2012. I still want that sleigh. It would look so good in my cul de sac for Snata to sit in and take pictures in. LOL We were almost gong to ask to take our Christmas Card picture in it with the tree lit int he background. You are a little hard to find, but I have been in and out of that neighborhood for years. Almost bought a house in the cottages as my wifes aunt was a realtor there. Once you are ont he main street (where the club house is) it is only two rig
  2. Thank you very much Malia110. I haven't spoken to Santa yet but we will see if we can get him out here soon. As I said above I will post it. Gleemp check out our website. There is a map and directions there. It is www.felixfamilyligths.com We are off Dallas-Acworth Hwy about 1 mile north of the Publix in New Hope. Oliver Place is the neighborhood.
  3. Wanted to let everyone on PCOMM to know we have the lights up and running for this year. We added another 10,000 lights and I still have a few things left to put out but we are Live for 2011. I will post any days we will have Santa on here, our Facebook page (Felix Lights), and on our website (www.felixfamilylights.com). Come on ot and enjoy the show.
  4. Congrats on the Twinkies. We have twin girls. They are 6 now but I remember what it was like when they were babies. Ours were premature so we had to do things that I am sure you will not have to do. Like PC SHopper said witht he cribs. You really only need one for about the first year as they love to sleep together. Ours would snuggle up so thight together you couldn't slide a piece of paper between them. I would also recommend trying to keep them on the same eating and sleeping schedule. We would double team them when we could (mom would feed one I fed the other). But we had to wake ours up e
  5. I will gladly verify, I too work for the district. No SChool.
  6. Just wanted to let everyone know that Friday night (New Years Eve) will be the last night we run the display for this year. It has been a great Christmas this year. We had more people visit, a lot of which have never been to see the display. I also met many people who have been coming for the last 4-5 years and visiting our house is part of their tradition now, which is great. We want to thank everyone for stopping by in 2010 and thanks for making a donation. The 2011 display promises to be bigger and brighter. We are taking song requests for next year. So if you want to list the title and
  7. Just heard one of the local news staions is coming tonight to do a story on Nicholas and the display. Come on out and join us. They wil be here at 4:30 or 5 then shoot the start of the show at 5:45
  8. Tonight is the last night of our weekend for Nicholas. If you haven't been out then come on over, if you have been out to see the lights then come on back. Santa will be here between 6:30 and 7 for visits and pictures. We are doing really well with donations for Nicholas, better than I expected so thank you to everyone. If there is a line please be patient. We will have people working traffic and will use the road above us if needed. I believe most will tell you seeing the lights is worth the wait. Santa should be here everynight this week around 7 till Christmas Eve. If that changes I wi
  9. If you want to see Santa and some awesome Christmas lights he will be at our house at 6:30 to see kids and adults. Just visit our website for directions www.felixfamilylights.com
  10. You are very welcome. Looks like the weather is supposed to clear out for tonight. Not sure when/if Santa will be here tonight. If he comes it will not be until at least 7:30. But he will be here tomorrow night for sure and most nights this week.
  11. We wanted to post a few things for this weekend. First Santa will be here tonight and Sunday for sure. He arrives around 7. We are hoping he will be here tomorrow, Saturday, too but not sure if he can make it yet. Also, this weekend is the weekend we dedicate our display to Nicholas Shannon and the Shannon Family. Nicholas is 4 years old who was diagnosed with a brain tumor this past spring. It is one of the worst most aggressive brain cancers and has no known cure. When a family friend came to us a while back and asked if we would consider doing something for the Shannons with the li
  12. Carter's Christmas Lights on Arnold Lane in Hiram. Sorry Shane beat you to listing your own display. You can get info at http://www.carterschristmaslights.com/ I am hoping someone can jump in on this one. There is a neighborhood off Hiram Sudie. Cannot remember the name but their whole street decorates. They also have an arch over the road that says Winter Wonderland. I thin the subdivision is Barrigton maybe?
  13. Thanks I am glad we help put you int he mood and made your display become a little bit brighter. I too need to add a few more lights.
  14. Santa will be here again tonight weather permitting. Shojuld be form 7-9 or so. We are the first left once you are in Oliver Place.
  15. Santa will be here from about 7 till 9/9:30. He left about 9:30 or so tonight. If you come early it was not too busy (at least for tonight. We plan to also have him here next weekend as well. We'll keep you posted.
  16. Just thought I would bump this for the evening crowd.
  17. Tonight will be the first day that the Big man in red will visit the display. He will be here around 7pm. So come on out and take some pics with Santa and enjoy the lights. Merry Christmas!
  18. Haven't made it by yet but will soon. You make it by our place yet?
  19. You should bring that to my house. I would love to snow the cul de sac part of the display. Was it very expensive to get everything to do it?
  20. Well 2010 light up is almost here. Wanted to let eveyone here know that we are now on facebook, Felix Lights. Please friend us if you can. 21. Putting up Christmas lights. Tons and Tons of Christmas lights. At least with the cold it will be as cold as Christmas. Feel free to come and join the fun, plenty to be done.
  22. I have got to agree with most. I am sure they are just getting a jump start to be able to light up around Thanksgiving. A lot of folks like to light up that night, kind of the official start of the Christmas season. Not sure how many lights they put up, but unlike me they have the equipment to do it much faster. Seriously, putting up these things can take time. I was out today beginning our set up and probably won't be done by Thanksgiving (although I hope to be). It's November, th eholiday commercials are starting, Coke has ther Santa packs out, guess it is time to get into the spirit.
  23. From one Santa to another (but I lack the real beard) I love the suit. It is very nice and you wear it well. Maybe if your not too busy one night you could swing by our display and visit with some of the kiddos who come out and see the lights.
  24. We went last ear and stayed at Compass Cove. It was nice, not great but nice. If you have kids they have a lot of amentites. I think they had 2 lazy rivers, several pools, an pool/play area just for the kids. We really liked it there, but like any tourist town the hotels are never as nice as they seem on the computer screen.
  25. We would like to thank everyone from the Pcomm site, plus everyone else who visited the display from all over the county and our neighboring couties for their generosity. This year we were able to raise nearly $2000 (actual numbe is 1986.36, but will be an even 2000) for Relay for Life. In four years we have raised $8000 total. So thank you so much. My wife and I didn't know how well we would do this year given the current economy and people's financial situations with jobs lost, pay cuts, and furlough days. To us, to be able to raise that much money this year was awesome. I will be updat
