The Dallas-Hiram patch is supposed to e doing a story on us. As for the news I tried over the weekend no response. I guess this is not a good enough story. We are not breaking a law or involved in a scandle. Plus the patch is viewed as a competitor, So much for the greater good.

We are still in third but catching up. I think we should be able to do better than what we are. If youhave multiple email accounts youcan register them and vote multiple times.

We are now in the top three and closing in on 2nd place. Wanted to update everyone.

Today was my first day back to work. I emailed the county once there and they sent out an email to teh county staff and employees this morning. If most of the school district employees can/will vote daily it should really shoot us up to teh top. I wish they could get teh kids more involved. Ifit wasn't for someone posting this contest on our Facebook page I would have never know about it. Being the only home from GA in the running (and I know several who were up for it) I really want to win this thing. Like I said being a teacher in PC it would be great to win the $100,000 for the school

Hopefully we can get the full force of the school district behind us this week. If they could set it up for the kids, teachers, and staff to vote at all the schools, we could be in first in a day or two.

We really need everyone to vote and share it with everyone they know. 100% if the $100,000 goes to the school district. OUr reward for being a finalist was a paid electric bill for December! I really though between Facebook and Here we could get more votes then what we have. I passed it on to my principal and others in the district. We have one week to take the lead!

I think tonight is going to be the last night. 3 good weather days to tear down is too good to pass up. As for Voting, it is supposed to start tomorrow through the 8th of January. Once I get the info and the link we will post it. We will need people to vote daily to stand a chance.

We won our Patch and were chosen as one of the 24 finalist out of 300+ homes nation wide. Next up is the national contest between us and the 23 otehr homes chosen from across America. If we win the Pauldin County Schools wins $100,000

Our lights are running till 11:30 and will be up and "dancing" all week.

I spoke to those people in the limo tonight. They stopped by our place as well. They told me they went on here to help put together a list of light displays to visit. Itis pretty neat seeing a hug limo come by. That thing was BIG.

My wife makes certain we are down as soon as possible. She doesn't like to keep them up to long after the holidays and keeping the yard cluttered looking. I have seen a few that leave them up a long time.

Well then you better get your, as my kids would say, bohonkus out here and see the display this year.

Mei Lan I am glad to hear it was not us. To be honest ours is on home or not unless we have a power issue. Happend once in 6 years. Knowing a lot of people that do this I do know that some are worried about having them on unattended. That being said when you put on a dsiplay as we do (and others who are bigger) if the electricity is set up right it should be fine. You are right about the little ones, they don;t get it, they want to see the lights. My wife was actually upset I shut down for an hour because we might disappoint those who might have traveled some distance to see them. Tabby th

If it was our display I apologize. We were being neighborly and allowing our neighbor full access to the raod while his friend moved out. They were on by 7 though.

Go into seven hills and take the first left. Go backa ways, I want to say the 4th road on the right (maybe 5). There are some neighbors that put up their lights and do a lot. Also Atkinson Family Lights in Riverwood. He has a post on here.

Maybe the week of Chrismtas. Just to warn you it gets busy and there may be a wait.

Sorry for posting late but Santa will be here tonight from 7:30-9. He will have a seat in the display so you can take pictures with him. I will be out working traffic . All we ask is to please stay in line with your car and be patient. Please do not park and leave your car unattended. Once you get your car in the Cul de Sac to view the lights then you can go see Santa. Also please do not block the intersection or my neighbors driveways. So Last Sunday when we had some decent wind the star blew off the topof our twenty foot megatree. I forgot to cememnt the coupling on it when I mounted the star. As it is right now (beside tearing the tree down)I need a lift truck or somehting that can place the star back on top. It is about 20 feet up. We thought we had someone to come and do it, but they never showed up. I plan to call a couple tree service companies but I remember about 2 years ago someone on here had access to a truck. I think it would be easy. Just park in the cul de sac in front of the tree. Bring the star up, put on
