  1. let me try this again......any local chiropractors that are good with children. Also price is a factor. We would be cash paying . I had a chiro I was going to out in acworth but an initial visit for one kid was like $100 and I cant afford to do 2 kids ($200) thanks I will be checking out the recomendation already listed.
  2. looking for a local chiropractor, preferably a female, preferably one who deals with children well. Also looking for anyone with recomendations on a nutrionalist thanks
  3. this has been a great help. We did sign up to help with paulding christmas, there were a couple areas that said all ages could help so I signed my kids up for that and we are also baking treats for them to serve. We are also waiting to hear about "adopting" some kids to buy gifts for also. My kids have really been open and great with this. THanks to all for your help, hopefully others will be inspired also.
  4. I'm not sure where people are getting their information, but lets clear up one thing. The kroger in Hiram is about at the end of their 20yr lease (as is Kmart) I believe it is in Jan. As for the store closing, I do not believe that to be true. There has been talk of that or a relocation of that store. I was asked by one of the managers to look on here regarding this topic because apparently people have been in that Kroger this weekend saying that the store is closing. Please don't start these rumors unless you know them to be fact. Alot of good people will be out of jobs if this happens!! If y
  5. All of these have been grea. Thank you so much for your help. I will be talking with my husband and looking into these, possibly Paulding Christmas.
  6. Lately my heart has been very heavy for our neighbors that are experiencing tough times. Undortunately I must admit maybe its because the holiday season is upon us that I am feeling this way, but none the less, I would really like to be of service somewhere. I also want my children to understand the importance of helping others. My children are young, but spoiled and at times ungrateful for all that we have. I am looking for LOCAL opportunities. Possibly something my children could be involved in, even if it is as little as donating to a local food bank. Christmas gifts for children.

  11. I too wanted a kitchen remodel. we have the cheap cabinets that come with a cookie cutter house. I used gel stain to make them dark, cherry color, added some brushed nickel hardware and a nice coat of paint and wow, what a difference it made. Even made the crappy countertops look better than they are. Just an idea.
  12. I too am sad, just like when GL went off last year. I thought they did a good job with GL's ending, not sure how everthing will wrap up in an hour today. I will be watching though. If they dare touch Y&R I will be protesting!!!!

  14. sorry if i used the wrong terminology, (maid) I am new to this
  15. Ok, I am thinking about getting some occasional help with the upkeep of my home. I have a few questions.... Are maid services for regular schedules only or can you do it like once a month or for a special occasion only as needed. I do all my housework myself but sometimes its just overwhelming and there are few things I really dislike doing like dusting, and cleaning baseboards!!! THe reason I'm asking is occasionally i will have a small get together in my home and instead of stressing out trying to get it looking great the day before, I would rather have some one come in and do
  16. this conversation comes up every year about this time and I'm so tired of hearing it. If you don't like it, don't participate, tell your child you are not going to participate. I'm on the PTA, have been for a few years now, I even ran the fundraiser one year and I do not participate in selling anything. My kids come home every year wanting the junky prizes, and I tell them "no", end of story. The PTA makes ALOT of money off these for the school and it is ALOT of work for the PTA. It takes alot of time and patience to have to go thru all those orders, then organize this, its alot of w

  22. what an honor. My dad is a vietnam veteran, first cav...67/68 i think, he still has problems with nightmares, I have heard alot of stories, but he wont tell me the really bad ones.
  23. hubby and I were talking about that this morning, just on our way thru Hiram its crazy....cant go thru an intersection without some one asking for donations. My hubby played all kinds of ball growing up and never once "begged for money" on the street, they did car washes or sold candy bars. If you sign your kids up for this, make sure you can afford it first. It's very expensive to play ball now days, especially travel, you have to be able to afford it if you want your kids to do it, other wise its ok to say no to your children and use it as a teaching moment, "we can't afford to do this rig
