This was my reaction too!!! I just don't understand holding on to broken things and rotten food. My husband could be a hoarder easy, he always wants to keep stuff "in case we need it in the future or could maybe get it fixed in the future".

Ok, so I had the talk with him. Told him, he could be a "grown up" but he would have to pay rent, pay for his phone, pay his insurance on his truck and health insurance, buy his own food, buy his own clothes, pay to have his truck fixed (which broke down yesterday), wash his own clothes, pay to race his dragster and buy his own big dragster and handle everything that comes up with college. This is how it was with me and I never abused the curfew or the trust but he is a different child than me. I doesn't want me asking any questions about where he is going or who with. And he thinks he should decide if and when he should come home. He would say... He's 18 and a College student afterall!!!!!!!

I am definately going to have another talk with him and use this. But I can't use the College part. He got Hope for college. And he won't be going anywhere for awhile for him to have to worry about a curfew, his truck tore up this morning. Bad Karma when you are mean to yo' mama.

My son is in college too. We can't get him to come home after his classes are over because he is having too much fun hanging out!! We told him that he needed to be home at 10 when he has classes the next day and 11 when he doesn't. We told him that he could stay out until 1am on Fridays and Sat. so I think we are being more than fair with him. He has always been a good kid and a great student in school (graduated 14th in his classes) but I think we are having some growin pains right now. I am glad I am not alone in this. This sounds like everything I told him this morning. He was really pissed at me after our little talk. And then his truck broke down on him on his way to college. (Bad karma for being mean to your mama). But who did his grown up behind call when his truck broke down and he didn't know what to do????????????????? HIS MAMA!!!
