I just returned from there. We need packers tomorrow. We made a huge dent and 90% of the heavy stuff is gone. We will need pickup trucks and folks to load them. If you can only pack that is fine. If you are strong enough to load boxes on the pick up, by all means come and load when boxes are ready and unload into the storage unit. They don't have a computer right now so I will thank everyone on their behalf. Folks purchased tape, wrapping paper, and boxes out of their own pocket. Food, drinks, and ice also.. I am not sure about the moving van and the storage units, but I suspect someone al

I sat on the ground wrapping dishes and boxing them, not to strenuous There are definitely a lot more boxes and wrapping material needed. I have Daisy with me, I could not take the other dog because he is not neutered nor is my large male. I didn't get to see Melissa tonight, probably a good thing as I would have fallen to pieces. It started raining and poor Luise was tryinng to get what she could on the porch. There is a long way to go, so any help tomorrow would be appreciated.

I am part of a FB group that supports legalization of it based on many medical uses. I have never especially been for the legalization of it recreational use but I am changing my opinion on that. Countries that have made it legal report a drop off of people using harder drugs like Meth and heroin. It is a better medicine for things like fibromyalgia and seizures. We are seeing a lot of claims out of Canada of it curing cancer and it can be used with chemo and radiation. Desperate people are going to buy the oils, there is way too much room there to scam people or harm them due to mistake

My earliest memories of war were in school. I often felt sorry for all the civilians that were harmed and killed because of war. It was always the dictators and leaders taking armies and going to war. So many innocent people killed that did not support the war. In many countries families were forced to give up their sons. We also as citizens have very little control over wars, Vietnam comes to mind as one that many did not agree with. Any time we are at war the cause is our leadership. I read a story a while back that was an example of things our representatives in other countries d

It is not uncommon in the natural world to see epidemics in over crowded animal populations. Epidemics are a product of dense populations. I suspect if it weren't for many of the vaccines that we have developed we would have already experienced more of them. You are also dealing with uneducated populations. Remember how the truth of how aids was contracted was kept from these people along with condoms. Education would go a long way in preventing the spread of this disease. Many don't even understand how the germs are spread. It is sad that the rest of the developed world will have to s

Thank you all for the prayers and good vibes. I am recovering well, I still have a bit of swelling and fatigue. My cholesterol was a little over 200 and my triglycerides over 300. 2 of my arteries had under 10% thickening and the other between 30 & 40 %. It was a clot that made it to my heart. I tiny portion of the bottom of my heart did die.I am probably here today because of the baby aspirin and not denying what was happening to me. All of the hospital staff ask me what made me act on the chest pain? I would have been one of those deaths that had people shaking their heads because I -

They do not know what is causing the fluid. The infectious disease Dr, came by yesterday to talk and order test. They took blood this morning, so hopefully we will know soon. The fluid on my heart makes it difficult to take a full breath. so I am anxious to resolve that. They moved me to a private room #236 last night just in case someone wondered. -

I finally got my right hand back. They had it squeezed tight to close off artery after the procedure. All the thoughts and prayers have cheered me up. I am still having problems taking a deep breath, this is due to the fluid around my heart. Not sure how long I will be here. I am glad to live in such a caring community.- 70 replies

This article explains a lot. I avoid stores and gas stations that I know are owned by Indians. It is not that I dislike them or resent them coming here to better themselves, It is because the stores are dirty and often fall into disrepair once they take them over. The restrooms are always disgusting. Thankfully most of them now are putting the light strips around the windows and doors so you can easily identify them and avoid them. One exception is the one owned up here in Burnt Hickory, we do support him and will continue to as long as he maintains the high standard of cleanliness. http

Americans have less than most to be concerned. Too many have already died because the measures have not been put in place quickly enough. Until they get these areas properly quarantined it will continue to spread. People have to be prevented from nursing their relatives and from burying them. This is the only known way to stop the spread of the disease. Every day that passes without this the more will die and it will spread. There is a point you reach with the number of people having the disease that you can not stop it spreading to the rest of the world. We are far from it at this point. Hope

I have been doing a lot of research on the Internet this morning. Some of the material has been a tough read. I have read articles from journalist that reported the 1975 outbreak. I have also read studies that have been worked on since then up to the recent outbreak. The disease must be stopped where it is. The military needs to set up perimeters that can and should include entire countries. Nothing leaves those communities, not a plane, car, train or human leaves until cases are no longer being seen. The flip side of that, is until that is done no other measures can protect the world fro

I saw this. It does not take into consideration multiple people traveling through airports all over the world. Can you imagine how many could be infected in the Atlanta airport just from touching the security tubs for your belongings, the handrail on the escalator, the over head bins on the plane. The tray table, bits of barf that get around the bag? The list of ways to come into contact with it on a trip and how quickly it could spread are horrifying. Nobody is afraid of one person creating an epidemic, but the safe guards in place to keep sick people from traveling have failed. I am actually

Doc protests health officials handling of Ebola threat SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A doctor here donned a protective suit Thursday at Atlanta's international airport to protest the way federal health authorities are handling the threat from Ebola. Dr. Gil Mobley, a microbiologist and emergency trauma physician, said his protective gear was taken away after he boarded his Delta flight at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. He removed the protective gear — space suit coveralls, hood mask, goggles, gloves and boots with "CDC is Lying" written on the back of the coveralls — once he reached

I never open them. There are plenty of stories all over the web of policemen being attacked, shot at and killed. You can find plenty of evidence that justifies the fear. We take criminal activity for granted, in that there is an abundance of it. We are asking LE to protect us from it. We should be willing to accept the reality of those jobs just as we accept the reality of criminal activity. It all boils down to people committing crime, it is like blaming the victim when you blame LE. Criminals don't respect anything and it is becoming apparent that more and more put no value on life eve

http://www.ajc.com/news/news/local/two-shot-at-dekalb-court/nhbFh/ A handcuffed armed robbery suspect managed to get a DeKalb County police detective’s gun and shoot him before another officer killed the prisoner Thursday night. The police officer was shot in the leg and his wrist and was taken immediately to surgery after the 8:30 p.m. shooting on the steps leading to the building where Magistrate Court is held, DeKalb Public Safety Director Cedric Alexander said. After the inmate, whose name was not released, fired at the officer, another DeKalb detective shot the armed prisoner. A

Actually I was not that worried until this happened. I am sure it is well known that the doctors flown here survived. There is every reason to lie about your illness if you believe that your best chance of making it is getting to America. It also has the ability to kill many more Americans than flying planes into a skyscraper. As you well know I am not feeding into the Obama the anti Christ group. The plan was working until it wasn't working, now we need plan B. The leadership of this country will move to plan B under the advice of the experts. You know those people you won't see on Fox news.

Hell just froze over because that made me chuckle

So do we wait for them to spread it in Europe first? It is here and it got here on a plan. That is all we need to know. You do not survive this disease without hospital care. We do not have enough beds to save millions of people. I entertain no belief that I am so special that I won't contract it. I am not willing to take the chance that I will get a hospital bed or the care I need to survive. The way you explain it we could already be in grave danger from any and all overseas flights.

At first, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control only reported about 30,000 cases a year. But, new studies reveal the numbers could be far higher… as many as 300,000 a year. Now, the CDC estimates that number could be as high as a million cases a year! So Ebola has one case right now in the US that has been reported. When we turn on the news that is all anyone is talking about. Every single news channel is talking about Ebola. Yet Lyme is a quickly spreading pandemic around the world, and nobody is talking about it? Why? The Lyme community has lost many beautiful souls. Why are the
