  1. Of us in the business community. She will be having Gallbladder surgery tomorrow. As most of us would be she is a little nervous waiting. Please post some funny and interesting things to keep her occupied in this thread. Love you January you will be missed at our meeting in the morning and I am sure we will all be looking forward to your recovering and seeing you out and about Now laugh while you still can. Here is a pic of Johnny and I out on the town
  2. They are very good cookies, Pubby and I ate the whole tin while burning the midnight oil last night.
  3. What you are doing is fine, We sometimes do break links to certain sites, if we do the address is usually left for people to copy and paste in their browser. A mod can better explain to you why a link is broken, I also think we might remove an address if the content of cite is objectionable. An example is someone posted the link to a website in the political forum trying to prove how terrible Obama supporters are. The site was full of graphic pornographic ads, I ask that it be removed.
  4. Thankfully Pubby stays on top of this. Because of that sometimes a post will disappear or someone will be strongly urged not to post something. Social networking is relatively new and yes people are being sued for what they say on the Internet. For the average person on our site chatting about issues there is not much worry. It is best to keep in mind that persons or entities with deep pockets can make life very unpleasant should they wish. As JR said you can sue anybody for anything, as for us average folks, do we have deep enough pockets to defend ourselves? You need to
  5. I think it was the weather, the dust, and the long days. We were all sick and tired yesterday. I am feeling better today.
  6. She has an incredible body especially for a lady her age. Any man in her age range would fall all over himself if the women he loved looked like her. The time comes in everyone's life to rest upon your laurels. To be cherished and respected for everything you have been and have accomplished, Sadly I don't think she has found this. She looks great, it is a great picture, but it is also kind of sad, she is an incredibly talented women. It is not the picture that would put people off, it is knowing that it is not proper in the scheme of things. I hope she finds happiness
  7. I understand, even simple surgeries carry the possibility of some risk. Prayers for a good outcome.
  8. Welcome to my world, you can be thankful that nobodie's family jewels were injured in the making of this comedy. I wish I could say the same
  9. I am the crazy lady that you ask to dinner and has a fit if you try to throw any of the carcass away. I grab a plastic bag and beg for the fat, skin, and bones.
  10. Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts, this morning was especially bad for me. It is comforting to know that so many have been through this and understand how hard it is.
  11. I am hoping so too, sometimes their tummies don't handle pain meds well, so we know she can not take it long.
  12. I want you to know that Teila is a joy with her cute shenanigans and cuddliness. She will definitely be a comfort as we go through this. You may be interested to know she has made herself the alpha dog even over the big shepherd.
  13. Because this is a juvenile we may never know all the facts of this case. I do know that in general our local LE seems to be very fair when it comes to teens and some of their issues. My best guess is that if they are perusing this as far as possible they may believe that this child has some serious issues, there may be more to it than just what he said on facebook. I am sure they have talked to all the kids involved, bullying is wrong but there could have some behavioral issues with the child that the parents are not dealing with. The best thing is to sit down and talk with your o
  14. Yes we will, it is just so hard right now. She has to go 2 days with no pain meds before we can put her on a stronger med. We just need a little more time to prepare ourselves.
  15. That made me cry. This is the promise that we make when we decide to bring an animal into our home and make them part of the family. This one is so hard for me, she has always trusted me and come to me for comfort when she was afraid, she is afraid of storms and loud noises. Every time I look in her face and think about it my stomach clenches up. Thank goodness this time my husband is better prepared, it is usually the other way around. I will need his strength to do this.
  16. Many of my friends know that I have one large dog a shepherd mix. She is 13 years old. She started limping and we noticed a large tumor on her shoulder. She has been on pain meds. We took her to have it biopsied it is cancer, the only thing they could do would be to take off the shoulder and she is just too old. I am having a hard time dealing with this, she is the sweetest dog I have ever known, she has mothered and protected every animal we have ever brought into the home. We are changing her to a stronger pain med for the next few weeks as we prepare ourselves for what is to com
  17. I toss a couple of whole chicken breat in the pot. 3 cans chicken broth 3 chicken bouillon cubes 3 tablespoons parsley 1 tsp thyme 1 tsp rosemary 2-3 tbs of sea salt depending on the amount of soup you are making 1 can chopped tomatoes (optional) A new blend I have been using that goes great with veggies whether you are roasting baking or sautéing, it also has some rosemary, thyme, and parsley in it along with garlic, pepper, and ground sweet peppers. McCormick perfect pinch vegetable I always cook my meat and seasonings together for at least 12 hours then add the vegetables th
  18. I agree Johnny! For those that do not know, the folks that put this on every year are all volunteers, as are the folks that provide the entertainment. This is a huge event that benefits many of our charities in the county. You are not just having a great day of fun and festivities, your are supporting local charities here in Paulding. You have to be located here in the county to participate. Just like Johnny the volunteers worked very hard and did an excellent job as always!
  19. If the smoke is going into the other businesses through the wall, then they should be required to install a ventilation system to prevent it, especially if it is running off patrons. I would not compare it to a sex shop, but as far as I know a sex shop is a business and has a right to open, if they are not patronized then they will close just as quickly. I don't know what the laws are pertaining to that type of business, it may offend you that they exist, but the question is whether or not they are legal. If there are no laws about the odor or smoke leaching through the walls there
  20. He was a hit for sure, Caped Crusader loaned him to us. I owe him big time because it was a great attraction. You should have come to the back and sat at the table an introduced yourself, I would have loved to have met you in person.
  21. I have a sore throat this morning that started yesterday. Most people know the wives tales about chicken noodle soup. There is some truth to it. I came home last night and started my broth for chicken vegetable soup in the crock pot. You might say that the can of store soup never helped me or mothers was good but didn't make me feel better any sooner. Guess were the wives tale came from, Jews! they cook with kosher sea salt. The main ingredient of my soup is sea salt, sea salt has natural antibacterial properties that kill many types of bacteria The steam from the s
  22. First of all I want to say that downtown Hiram has been very close to dying out economically this last year. The cigar shop was willing to take the risk of leasing over there and hopefully building the area back up by bringing in people that have the potential of becoming customers to the struggling businesses down there. The second thing is listening to people complain about passing someone and getting a whiff of smoke. Briefly passing by and smelling smoke is no more harmful to your health than walking into someone else's cloud of noxious bowel gas in Walmart. Both are equally o
  23. Good morning everyone! I just woke up! I was in bed asleep by 8:30 last night! I loved seeing and hugging everyone, so many came to sit under the shade tree with us. I enjoy that part so much. Thanks to all the folks that sat down and gave me an interview! I am still a little bleary eyed this morning. The best thing about Paulding meadows is getting to see and meet so many p.commers I look forward to it more than yall could know, it is almost like a family reunion. I know some were a bit shy about introducing yourselves, there is no reason to be, everyone is always welco
  24. Make a right at the light on Seaboard , then make a quick left into the business center it is about 1/2 down the row of leases. I finally talked them into joining as CM's. I think they will do great as people get to know where they are and what they have. It is very inexpensive. The clothes are just too cute.
