I remember what the last rich dude did, so I am literally holding my breath. I wish we had a better choice, I find Romney very scary. Hopefully businesses will react positively to him. I fear it will be very short lived. America was based on freedom I see how well he respected that with Romney care. not only do I think he will continue on the same track with Obama care I think he will build in more profit for big insurance companies, we will be robbed blind by it. He also still has the deficit to deal with, that money has to come from somewhere and I have yet to hear any reasonable plan

No sir no can opening here, it is sore from chopping all the meat by hand though. Mine is so homemade I don't even use a grinder. Plus after 2 days of simmering the meat is tender no need to grind.

The war on women and the working poor was not a very good idea. People want to believe that all the problems in this country come wrapped in a brown package, just keep watching and worrying about them. The demographic that they think they own is the one that is going to be the most fierce and take them by surprise. The harder a person works for something the harder they will work to keep it. I have always said we were persuaded to look down to lay the the blame for our troubles. I have said it again and again the very poor have no power, you can beat on them all day and there will be no co

Surepip has not seen this yet. I have been talkin to Melissa kicked back, got my meat flavorized, tenderized ready to kick his butt, he is still tryin to cook. It don't matter if he works his butt off all night, I am still gonna kick his butt tomorrow. Now yall don't have to spare his widdle feelings just cause he has worked so hard. I have taken your challenge!!!! Too bad for you I have recovered from my brief illness. I have a pot of Brunswick stew started on the stove. Since your recipe does not include my 2 secret ingredients be prepared to be badly beaten. Also Cherry bombs will also only be served with the best Brunswick stew in the state. There will be no whining over your horrid defeat!!!!! :p :p

I have a request in with the finance office to get the exact numbers for what we are saving yearly in operation cost with the facilities that are closed. We will see when we got it. My understanding is that many will recoup what they have lost in wages due to the furlough days with out us having to pay the operational cost. I have been told that the savings are minimal in departments such as fire and law enforcement were some has to be there 24 hours. There is no arguing that our tax rate was raised, but taxes were not raised, many of us will still pay less this year than last year. Reven

The man was Tony Crowe that was his wife.

My understanding is the savings from buildings being closed, cars not be used ect is a cumulative amount of savings when looked at over the year. My understanding is the raises will bring them close to what they were making before furloughs so we still save money and retain our people.

Ok I changed it.

Thanks I must have copied the wrong one, let go back and get it.

First of all here is the click through to check it out for yourself. BUDGET I have looked it over and I can't find anything unreasonable with it, in fact I can't believe we can run a county this size on that little. I know they raising the tax rate to among other things give county employees a long over due raise without giving up the money we save on operations cost when we shut down offices on furlough days, I get that a lot of the issues are not the overall amount spent or needed but who gets what size piece of pie. I heard that there was going to be a tax protest, I am

I am sure they have visited the site or so I have heard at some point in time. They probably value their privacy very highly, if you are too friendly you have to worry about local folks capitalizing on your private life. I think it speaks well of the people of Paulding that they respect their privacy and they have made their home here. I am embarrassed to say that I probably wouldn't know them unless someone pointed them out, I am not the least bit star struck. I think I would miss things like being able to run into the Dollar store or grocery store if I were them.

Yeppers, they don't have shuffleboard here.

I bet you were too young to remember the Silver Dollar Saloon. There were real silver dollars imbedded in the bar.

Nathan Deal Has Declared Random Acts Of Kindness Day
LPPT replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Wow, we have to declare a day to be kind. Really how hard is it to be nice and understanding it cost you nothing. -
You can't receive any messages and I need to talk to you.

I hate to hear that, we got some of the same feedback about the New Mexican restaurant, I think it just takes time to get a good team together. Most get it together in the first 6 weeks. Kay is a wonderful person she is trying to create a really good restaurant and atmosphere there. I am looking forward to having a nice place to go in the evenings with friends.

Can a community reconcile after the elections? We all have our reasons for believing that someone will lead us better, or make better decisions. Politics are personal in that our life experiences tend to influence our political beliefs. This is why I tend to be tolerant of others beliefs even when I don't agree. It has become acceptable to personally attack people for their beliefs rather than debate the pros and cons of candidate or party. We have had some heated races the last few months and we are facing a presidential race in a few months. The question is, should we destroy any po
