Lucky you...we waited over 5 hours last night at the ER for an injured growth plate...we thought it was a broken arm that turned into the growth plate at the elbow being injured...it was RIDICULOUS! The ER would not even let me give him tylenol! I would have gladly waited for the Urgent Care if I had known he could make it through the night! We love New Hope...where is the one in Villa Rica?

It is sooooo beautiful outside that we are looking to do something outside with the kids...ages 5 and 8. We want to keep it as inexpensive as possible...anyone know of any events going on today or tomorrow? I know the parks are always an option, as we already have a picnic planned tomorrow at a local park...just looking for other suggestions. Thanks...

I was just curious which places do the kids eat free on Sundays...I know about Buffalo's and Birdies, but is there anywhere else? Plus there is only 1 adult eating with 2 kids...not sure if that makes a big difference or not. TIA

I know I have seen threads before but I cannot find it now...where do kids eat free on Tuesdays? Trying to plan ahead for tomorrow...long day at work! Someone said they thought IHOP did this on Tuesdays but I can't find anything. TIA

My daughter has done several pageants over the last 2 years...they are all NATURAL pageants, as another poster said, these are a world of difference from the tv shows! My suggestion would go along with bubbles' suggestion...something simple. I have bought all of my daughter's dresses either off ebay for really cheap or from a dept store for about $30-$45. My daughter has never had an expensive dress for pageants, and she has been successful at winning all but 2 of the pageants for her age division in addition to a couple of supreme titles. I did not realize it was time for the Miss Hira

Also, tell the parents to check with the school counselor...they sometimes have school supplies that have been donated.

I went and stuffed backpacks at WestRidge this morning, and the whole family is doing the set up/beginning of Fresh Hope's Back to School Celebration tomorrow where we will hand out those backpacks...Amazed at the number of backpacks we stuffed this morning (approx 1000 for all ages) in addition to ALL the donations people contributed to make this a success! I LOVE COMMUNITY MAKEOVER WEEKEND! This is our 3rd year doing projects...Can I say it again? I LOVE COMMUNITY MAKEOVER WEEKEND!

Also, Warehouse of Hope is also looking for donations. I usually take my kids clothing there, especially right before school...I hate for a child to start school without a "new" outfit. I know Warehouse of Hope is always appreciative of any donations they get...whether it is clothing, furniture, toys, stuff animals, or food. Just a thought!

Nicely put...I agree with what you are saying...it is hard for us to actually know what we would do in the same situation until we are actually there...where is the sandbox for the nice play? :-)

We want to see the fireworks, but we don't want to get caught up in all the activities at Ben Strikland park...are they shooting the fireworks off the ball fields? If so, do you think you can see them from the home depot parking lot? Just trying to figure out...thanks in advance!

All I can say is wow! Our value dropped about $58K this year...yikes! I don't like that but am hoping I will like the new property tax amount!
