If I was in town more...and didn't actually have a real paying job, had people fund my campaign... I'd run against DA and beat him. Hands down.

GeorgiaTornado replied to Blondiega1's topic in RECENT TOPICS
biotchhh is 18. Get a job...and WORK and pay your own way now. If you can't live by the rules of the house... YOU make your own house and play house there. I just couldn't imagine having the nerve to even sue my mom and dad for something so stupid... True form of Entitlement. -

IBA amendment tabled 'until the next meeting'
GeorgiaTornado replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
no way in hell is that airport going to generate that many jobs.. Smyrna Rutherford County Airport has an active National Guard base there and they only have 1000 +/- jobs there. Want to see a well oiled Airport...something Paulding hopes to be... but you do need to know it's ran by PROFESSIONALS... not some local yocals. •Located at the intersection of three major interstate routes, I-24, I-40, I-65 •Located within 600 miles of 80% of the population of the United States •Attractive lease rates and terms •All utilities on site •High speed Internet options •Air charter service within -

IBA amendment tabled 'until the next meeting'
GeorgiaTornado replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
Taxiway isn't a runway....and vice versa.. You can back taxi... but you can't take off and land from a taxiway. I had this happen to me at an airport... he caused a lot of unnecessary shiiit because of that. Needless to say you never do that with a FAA representitive at the airport. It will get you suspended.... ;-) -

Finally...someone who gets it. From the post I've seen you post you are not FOR or AGAINST the airport, but you see the money AKA our Tax Dollars being thrown and BS. Fail + Fail = FAIL Spend + Fail = FAIL Waste + Spend = FAIL I don't give 2 schits how many businesses you've ran or had in Paulding. Most of these people have made their money off the housing industry or being council attorney for the county. -
SO...are you saying just give them millions of dollars and put everything on Black and spin the wheel...if it lands on black we win..if not...we are out millions and millions of dollars if it lands on Red. You have better odds in Vegas. I am shocked beyond belief that you think we should just "See how it goes" Are you out of your EFFING mind? I think you are crazy.... just like you spewed the same scheeze about the damn movie studio! How did that work out for ya?

Airtran = ValuJet. They started out of Atlanta and only went to 3 cities. They bought used DC9's from Delta.... NEXT. It don't matter where the hell you have to fly from...it's still cheaper to fly from Hartsfield. I still say that families out here will NOT be flying out of our airport. You will NOT see flocks of sports teams with charters out of here. No way..if so...every commercial airport in the US would be offering cheap CHARTER type flights for this. Most of these commercial flights fly 2 days a week. NOT every day. SO...you either leave on Thursday and come home on Tuesday... Bett

If so many people "FLY" to vacation spot...why the hell do I see so many flipping minivans with GO #17 or whatever on the road to Florida and NC? If you go to a soccer, softball, or baseball tournament......HOW many teams fly? How many members on each team FLY? 1 or 2 maybe. My sister has kids who play travel ball out of Arkansas and they DRIVE to Texas, Alabama, Florida and other places. NONE of the families have a plane or can afford to fly. It's all they can do to raise money or pay the entry fees and hotel cost. Let alone charter a flight. I see way to many sports teams selling donuts

Should Public Works Projects provide a Return on Investment ?
GeorgiaTornado replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
These businesses didn't become successful by pissing away money Pubby. I can prove 1 fact to you on how they do this. This is exactly how these successful businesses will deal with our people at the airport who have ZERO experience in airports or running/managing an airport. 1. They will have a 99 yr lease on the land that will be renewable for the same amount as long as they maintain their headquarters here. 2. They will build and OWN their own hanger. NOT lease from the airport 3. They will have their own gas tanks and will NOT buy gas from the Airport. 4. They will pay ONLY a small ta -
I've asked VALID questions...and still have no answers. All some of you want to say is....well they have successful businesses here in Paulding. 1. Who on any of the boards making decisions have managed or converted a municiple airport to a commercial airport? Who has the experience in Aeronautics to be making these decisions? 2. What highways do you think will be direct access from the airport to the Interstates to ship products via ground transportation? How close are these said roadways to major interstates? 3. Where is the Aeronautical business plan for this airport?

Should Public Works Projects provide a Return on Investment ?

Yes. Right now building Design, Construction, and financeing of roads are HUGE and the way to go. Most are called P3 jobs. One P3 job local is the Northwest Corridor (75/575) project that is being done. 1 team will Design, Build and Finance the building of the new HOT lanes for this area. They will also maintain it and after x amount of years it's turned back over to GDOT. Then the state starts keeping and collecting tolls. -
I own property on 61... near commercial property....and it's a BIOOOTCH to try to get something rezoned from residential to commercial.

Just because you've flown for years does NOT make you qualified to manage or even make decisions for an airport. Most of these people who are on this board are the same ones who were all about making Paulding a bedroom community full of housing. To be successful the airport NEEDS people who have worked and/or managed an airport AT LEAST the size of what Paulding wants to do. I have been so some airports around the southern states that have airport managers who have never flown in a plane before and have done a better job at managing his airport. I have ZERO connections or ties to ANY

I'm all for progress....keeps me working ;-) But what I'm not for... having people do a job they are not qualified for with MY tax dollars. I voted for David Austin to be Chairman.... Not on the IBA... Oh wait..the IBA isn't elected. It's appointed....with UNQUALIFIED people. Stradial....your question about a business plan laid out... umm nope. Nobody is QUALFIED to write one for an airport.

I got a solution....... HIRE someone with EFFING airport experience!

I love it. I've been off for almost a year now because of working out of town so much so I haven't done much since. If I'm in town more soon I will continue. You are the voice of the CHILD. You do what is best for the child and his/her needs. In Paulding County the judge listens to the CASA volunteer and what they see. She actually respects the volunteers. Plenty of training and seminars for you to attend. I would highly recommend this if you want to volunteer your time. Please know it does take TIME...and can take lots of time. Call the local CASA and talk to them and ask them quest

Huey Luey's is horrible... go to a real mexican restaurant. They are expensive in my opinion. I prefer La Parilla and La Cocina at 278/61

Tahoe...do you have signs up saying No Solicitation? I don’t have anything up at my house and nobody bothers me. I was just wondering because I do know of people who have these types of signs up at their houses.

I have actually worked with Blake when he was at Cobb DOT. He was a Project Liaison/Manager at the time. In all seriousness if we want our airport to be successful...we need to hire a Karl Von Hagel. The difference this man has made to Cobb County's airport is remarkable. I can't say enough good things about him. Cobb got a gem when they hired him.

Since everyone running the show at this airport knows so much about Airports, which one of them has a degree in Aerospace Administration with a minor in Airport Management and Operations? How much experience does everyone have in building and running an airport…..of any size? Here is why I say this. If Paulding is even considering becoming the airport it thinks it can….You must have these types of people. They need to know the ins and outs of airports and the management that goes with them. Have business background is a plus…but you won’t get a job at any other airport if you don’t have s
