  1. DH is grilling BBQ chicken breast with onions Mashed potatoes Baked Squash Fresh loafbread (a Southern Delicacy LOL)
  2. I overlooked your post until now. SORRY!! Thanks for the link but who wants to pay retail prices??? And you are right - the market is flooded with UGA merchandise - they will give permission to license any and everything. And, if Wally World doesn't have it you can bet K-Mart does. I've never seen as much UGA shirts and stuff ANYWHERE as what K-Mart has!!!! This is why we carry very little UGA merchandise. I have three pair of the GT sunglasses remaining. The dog collars are still PPU.
  3. Now I lay me down to sleep...one less terrorist this world does keep...with all my heart I give my thanks...to those in uniform regardless of rank...you serve our country & serve it well...with humble hearts your stories tell...so as I rest my weary eyes...while freedom rings our flag still flies...you give your all, do what you must...WITH GOD WE LIVE & IN GOD WE TRUST...AMEN!
  4. That is what I was just thinking. DH and I bought groceries yesterday and MANY items we buy on a regular basis and I knew what I had been paying was now higher. Raising the price from $.99 to $1.29 might not sound that significant but do that times most every thing in the buggy and it adds up quick!!!
  5. DH and I were talking about this same fact earlier today. There were instances when players did find themselves in unfavorable situations. BUT.....they were dealt with and Bobby made it known it was not acceptable.
  6. I have heard it reported this was Lowe's THIRDDUI arrest. I am not able to find information to verify this. But did find this" "Lowe is the fifth MLB player to be arrested for a DUI in 2011." Lowe's punishment from the Braves and MLB will come down once he is convicted - IF he is convicted. The DUI charge will probably be dealt to a lesser charge. But, until then he will continue to play with the Braves as usual. I was recently told if a person refuses the field sobriety breathalyzer their license is automatically suspended for 12 months??
  7. I have updated the original post. Everything except the blue sunglasses are either sold or PPU. THANKS for all the PM's and responses!
  8. WHERE is the "Like" button when I need it?????
  9. It was GREAT seeing you today. I must be living right - saw you TWICE Thursday and again today! Glad you had a great day. We had a good day Downtown and it was so much fun visiting with everyone who came by. But, I hated to miss all the other great sales.
  10. We had a GREAT day - THANKS to all the folks that stopped by!! I saw a lot of friends and enjoyed the day outside. It wasn't too terribly hot and was a pleasant day. I found some treasures as well. I look forward to the one in the Fall!
  11. I agree with the OP - to leave Chas Henry on the block is a DUMB move. Not only is he the best punter out there, it would impact ticket sells in a positive way. As far as getting Julio, I am THRILLED!!! Our family will now be buying tickets to go watch the Falcons. The Falcons might not need Julio right now but they are looking at the big picture.
  12. UH OHHHHHHHHHHHH!?!?!?!?! DITTO and DITTO for me too. I've never bought one of those papers. Maybe I should???
  13. Most of my customers know how rare it is I am able to get Georgia Tech Merchandise in. GT limits the licensing of their merchandise and I only carry Officially Licensed Collegiate Merchandise. I just got these in and don't expect them to last long!! SUNGLASSES ONLY $.500 per pair! These two styles I only have one pair each: PPUGold Frame (Retail Priced $9.99) SOLD The blue pair on the front. I put the other style with it to show "Georgia Tech" on one side and "Yellow Jackets" on the other. SEVERAL PAIR STILL AVAILABLE: GT on upper left lense and "Georgia Tech" on one side and "
  14. Just talked to a friend whose family lives in Ringgold. His family is okay but his Dad told him, "Ringgold is GONE. You will not recognize it when you come home." He also told him people are trapped in Taco Bell and McDonald's. SO SAD for the loss of life and property all over the Southeast today.
  15. O'Charley's Cheese wedges for appetizer Mushroom & Bleu Cheese Steak Baked Tomatoes Baked Potato DH had the same except he had French Fries
  16. GOOD LUCK and enjoy those GRANDbabies!!! Thanks to technology and p.com you will never be far away. Take Care and keep in touch.
  17. Others are right - the ER is to determine you are not dying, treat the symptoms and refer you to a doctor that can determine what is causing the symptoms. DH has been treated for a "heart attack" in Hawaii, Alabama, St. Joseph's, Paulding and Kennestone here in Ga. However an angioplasty determined he has the healthy heart of a 17 yr old. His pain and the classic symptoms of a heart attack were caused by spasms of the esophagus. It was explained to him that the heart is a muscle just as the esophagus and when the esophagus would spasm in his chest the heart muscle would also spasm. Good Luck g
  18. It isn't possible. I've watched a lot of the coverage and specials as I find it interesting. Kate didn't even have a say so in the date that they are getting married. I feel sorry for her for the life she is about to walk into. But, William has allowed her time over the years to get accustomed to the media and she has some idea what is ahead. Diana was not prepared for the onslaught of attention and she never got accustomed to it - even up to the night of her death. I will be watching on Friday but I won't be getting up at 4AM. I will turn on the TV when DH gets up about 6:30 and I'll watch it
  19. WOW! What a great story to end the evening with. Yes, there are still some of us honest folks out there. I am SO glad you got your purse and all your belongings back. That was a wonderful person to go to the trouble to bring it to you personally. A lot of people would not have taken the time - even if they were honest and did not use your cards, etc.
  20. I have before but typically cut up the roast in gravy and pour over toast (I prefer) or biscuits (DH prefers) and usually have home cut fries with it.
  21. I KNOW! We shop Kroger and typically I get a chuck roast but an average size was $12-$14. They had a shoulder roast that was a bit over $6.00 so I got it. I wasn't sure about it being tender so last night I covered with tenderizer and put it in a zip lock bag. Then this morning I seasoned it with lemon pepper and garlic salt and put it in the crock pot with veggies and cream of mushroom soup. It was very good and tender! It was plenty for DH and I and we'll have another meal with leftovers. Probably open face roast beef sandwiches?
